Voice dial? How do I set up my new VU by LG for voice dial?

Internet access via cellular provider is more and more popular, but the cellular Internet plans offered by many providers are expensive. There are a few alternatives to cellular Internet plans, including using your mobile phone as a modem. This process is called "tethering" and allows you to connect to the Internet through a dial-up connection in your phone. With the right equipment and technique, you can use your LG Vu CU920 with a USB cable to connect to the Internet.Log on to the LG website and download the modem driver for the Vu CU920 to your computer's desktop.

2 Install the modem driver by double-clicking on the program icon on your desktop. Follow the instructions in the install wizard until it is complete.

3 Plug a LG Vu CU920 USB cable from your LG Vu CU920 into an empty USB jack in your computer.

4 Click the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel."

5 Click "Network and Sharing Center," then click "Set up a Connection or Network."

6 Click "Set up a Dial-up Connection." This will open up a window where you can enter your LG Vu CU920's information.

7 Type the cellular dial-up connection number in the Dial-up Phone Number field. This number differs between each cellular provider. Contact your cellular provider to get the number that it uses for this sort of connection. Leave the username and password blank. If you like, you can enter a name for the connection in the "Connection Name" field.

8 Click "Connect" to connect to the new network connection.

Simply press and hold for a few secs the "1" key on the phone and then when the voice mail number dials just follow the instructions you get!

its nothing wrong with the voice recording, or your phone, voice recordings are simply not allowed to be set as a ringtone,
i have the same phone and it took me many calls and headaches to At&t before they told me that anything set as a ringtone had to be in mp3 format.

i have the same phone but it doesn't do anything like that

I had the same problem and found that the speed dial feature in "settings" is not turned on by default even though voice mail number is pre-programed into the speed speed list. Go to "Settings & Tools/Call Settings/One Touch Dial" and turn the option on.

how do i get my recored auido to be my ring tone one the lg vu plus

go to lg-vu.net will tell you how to do everything from changing the themes to changing your message tones or any other tone you want. new dial pads new keyboards.

Time for a new phone. It's a physical problem, nothing that can be undone unfortunately.

what you do is go to menu and then hit the button that says messaging (the envalope) (sorry if im explaning this so simply i just dont know if you know how to work the phone) the go down to the one that says VOICEMAIL and hit that (well not hit it just you know, poke it or select it :) it should then dial your voicemail. It then should say ....TO CHANGE YOUR PERSONAL OPTIONS PRESS 4 (then open keypad and press 4) then it should say... FOR GREETINGS OR RECORDED NAMES PRESS 3 (onen kepad press 3) then it should have different options such as just one with your 1. name (bob is not available leave a message after the tone) or 2. your number (123-456-7890 is not available please leave a message after the tone) or 3. a personal greeting where you can record whatever you want (hi i am not hear blah blah blah leave a message blah blah blah)

Go to "TOOLS" in the folder file, then voice command. Go to this link to down load the full manual. Then learn the voice commands that you may use.
