Loft aerial changed, now has thin purple line across top of screen, nothing magnetic near it, changed screen resolution and reset tv but still there
Can you please change the input device to some other you know, works? If you do not notice any problem there, look for the aerial cable going close to any power line or has interference from some other transmissions of any kind nearby.

The set is under a year old and is under warranty. The LVDS cable inside these sets have a history of coming loose. The problem could be the panel. Either way, the set is the problem and needs to be looked at. This set is worked on in the home and does not need to be taken to a shop, so, you can still use it. I work for a auth LG service center and each time I have had this symptom we had to either change what called the T_CON control board or the Plasma display panel itself. You need to cocntact LG @ 800-253-0000 report your problem and they will find a service center in your area you should have 1 year warranty parts and labor.

Try to replace the YSCAN board. If not fix it, then it's the PDP Panel failure.
