If Wii gives can't read disc, so first step you need to check is to try another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc. SOURCE: Wii wont accept discs

The Wii only does this if you already have a game inside. If there is no game inside request a repai with nintendo.

Make sure you have one year worrinty still. If not become a member of club nintendo. Register it and the worrinty will be extended by 90 days. Then repairs are free! Try it!!

SOURCE: wii unable to accept/eject disc making buzzing sound

  • When the disks were put in/taken out the little plastic clips in side the wii may have broken off. Might be stuck near the motor. Gently shake while rotating the the wii with all the cords off with no game inside. listen for anything loose. If your lucky the piece will go to another part of the wii. Best thing is to find someone to take it apart to check.

SOURCE: my wii is not accepting any disc. I push the disc

I have just finished fixing a wii system that did the exact same thing. It had 2 pennies jammed into it. After i removed them it was perfect. I am a game sytem technician and a special type of screwdriver is required to open the unit. It can be purchased on ebay.Good Luck

My Wii is not reading the disc

Unfortunately, no, you cannot format the Wii to accept different region codes.
But, you say the UAE is where you bought the Wii, which I assume is the United Arab Emirates? Which would be Region Code 2, which includes Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and Greenland.
Region code 1 includes only the United States of America and Canada.
However, if the Winter Sport 2012 is a dual-layer dvd disc, the Wii can have issues reading it. This is a common problem with the game Super Smash Bros. Melee. The Wii's laser reader was not initially designed to read such formats and may need cleaning in order to read the disc.
The Wii has a laser disc cleaner system that you can buy from most game stores that can clean the laser so that it emits a strong enough light to read a dual-layer disc. This has worked for me every time in the past.

Wii game was stuck halfway in machine kids couldn't get it to go in so they tried to force it till I caught them and stopped it. Pulled it out and when you try to put a disc in there is a grinding...

The best option to fix this problem is to take it to a service center unfortunately, but here are a few question you need to know the answers for to be able to get the best service:
1. Was the Wii on when they tried to force the disc in? If not then the noise could be that the motor mechanism has been jammed and the worm gear for the motor has been stripped. You will need the disc ejector mechanism replaced.
2. Was there another disc in the machine at the time? If there was, it is possible that the first disc has become lodged in the machine and could have been broken into pieces, so when the disc is entered or ejected, sometimes it will go in and sometimes not. When there is vibration the disc pieces or even the whole disc could move in and out of the way of the tray. You would also need to have this removed by a service technician.
Wii consoles are notoriously fiddly to deal with when it comes to repairs, needing special screwdrivers and a keenly trained eye to be able to spot a problem in an extremely confined space.
I'm sorry I could not be of more help but I hope this helps you even a little.

Wii could not read disc

There could be several things wrong. Let's start with the most basic - is the disc inserted correctly? The holographic side needs to be on the left when inserting it. Then, make sure there are no scratches or smudges on the bottom of the disc. A common solution is to wipe it with a cloth or even your shirt if you don't have one handy. Look on the holographic side of the disc to make sure there isn't anything left on it. After cleaning thoroughly, try playing the disc again.
If you're still having a problem, try restarting the Wii console. However, there's always a possibility that you have a bad disc or, if you're unable to play any games, a bad console.
