Is there somewhere I can get step-by-step directions for replacing a control board (part# 8201528) in my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator (model# 106.54606300). A repair person diagnosed the control board as my problem (not defrosting), and I can save a lot of money if I can order and install the part myself. I was able to unscrew the screws to gain access to the compartment, but am unsure about the next step -- there are plenty of wires running in and out...
Thanks!

The light may be telling you that the temperature is not cold enough to operate the icemaker.
You may have a bad defrost timer, heater or thermostat. If you have an ice bucket then it may ot be seated properly.

too defrost just open the doors for a day with the unit unplugged. as far as why it is frosting up check door seals make sure they are all good and seal it up well and that should take care of it.
SOURCE: Fridge compartment is freezing
It is the part # 2315515. It is a motororized contraption that opens and closes the baffle to let the freezer air into the refrigerator. It is one part. Mine shut closed. I removed the whole thing in hopes I can do without it. It will be a trickey proposition getting the freezer temp adjusted just right enough to keep the fridge just right enough. The repair man said they are seeing alot of these right about now. They don't make em like they used to.
