Clean the dispenser first and see if you noticed any blockages and then clean the unit itself in the dispenser area and use a little less than recommended and see if you notice any changes.

SOURCE: softner stopped draining out of the compartment

try pouring really warm water in the compartment or using small soft toothbrush type brush to clean out the build up of softener. You might try thinning your softener in the future with water if it is very thick. this works for me

SOURCE: The fabric softner isn't draining during cycle but

When cleaning the softener chamber, make sure you remove and clean the syphon tube thoroughly. This is the only chamber designed to handle liquid. Otherwise, check that you have sufficient water pressure and that the cold valve opens fully. If you dont hear a decent gush of water during the rinse cycle, it's either pressure or the valve.

SOURCE: I have a Frigidaire front

Hi Jeannette,

If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a multimeter. If it still doesn't work then you would need to replace the drain pump.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Won't spin

Hello fopdycke - Typically when a washer does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage pump or hose may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, timer, faulty pump or control board not communicating correctly. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

If I put soap in fabric softner spot can I just add water and let it drain out?

You could remove it and clean it out. Or you can add water a few times and put it in a spin. It will only release in the spin cycle.

The fabric softner is not draining during the cycle

Normally caused by undissolved soap residue. Switch off machine from mains, Remove detergent drawer from washing machine, there might be a small plastic clip that need to be levered by hand before the drawer can come out completely. Soak detergent drawer in a tub of water, rinse under tap and wash thoroughly until all soap residue has been washed away. Replace drawer.

How do i get all the dog hair out of maytag front loaders after i wash my clothers theres still dog hair on them & yes i clean the filters

Make sure you are using the proper amount of "HE" detergant based on our water hardness. Soil and pet hair are suspended in the wash engymes during the was cycle to be taken away during the drain cycle. Use of a non "HE" detergant will produce an over sudsing condition and soil will be suspended in the suds and redeposit on the garments and inner basket during the drain cycle. Using a lesser amount of non "HE" detergant will provide an insufficient amount of wash engymes and also give you the condition you are experiencing. Try using a combination of a granular "HE detergant added directly to the load of clothes along with a liquid fabric softner added to the dispensor. This should help you out. Of course shaking out the garments outdoors that have heavy deposits of pet hair would help as well.

GE WSXH208AWW doesn't dispense detergent, softner or bleach. Dispenser is totally dry after wash cycle.Appears no water gets to tray.

I'm having almost the same problem - the bleach & softener both will NOT dispense, but (LUCKILY) the detergent does dispense on mine, for now.

In order to get the solutions (bleach, softener, detergent) to go into the washer, the water needs to pour through the dispenser somehow. Dry means NOT working (mothmanmeg).

I need help, too!! We tried taking the drawer out & cleaning, no luck.

Softner won't drain

Sir,

if you mean that the softner (from the detergant drawer) will not enter the drum during the normal cycle, then....

the softner has become solid, you need get hot water and get the hardened softner loose within the pipe to the drum clear.

I suggest using a solid electrical cable core to clear it

Whirlpool duet fabric softner problem

It obviously is backed up or splashed in from the wash. And if it is just water why worry about it.
