Hello
make a System Reset process. To do this;
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off, press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may again turn on the TV. The changes you made the last time the TV was on before you used the SYSTEM RESET button may be lost, however, the changes that were previously saved are not lost.
OK.
have you checked the lamp? with those models they will power up and if the lamp is bad you can hear audio until the tv shuts off. the lamp is located in the front behind the speaker grill assembly. if the "status" light is blinking then you are having a fan failure if the "lamp" light is on then check the lamp like i listed above.
It sounds like you need to replace the lamp for your TV unit. Also don't forget to replace the lamp use hours timer otherwise the TV unit will not recognize a new lamp has been installed. I hope this helps. Good luck.
This is a common problem and usually shows up when power is interrupted. The capacitors in the micro, digital, and power supply have to be replaced. In my shop, we prefer to send the chassis to Mitsubishi and they repair it. Do you have a local authorized Mitsubishi service center near you?
Install The C26 DM and V26 Power repair kits available from www.tvrepairworld.com the kits contain the replacement capacitors and the CD with detailed repair instructions.
My Mitsubishi WD52725 will not turn on...the timer light is blinking. We pushed the reset button, unplugged tv. Just got off the phone with Mitsubishi customer "service." After answering numerous personal questions, and being on hold for several minutes, I was told that the only solution was to push the reset button. Duh! We'd done that several times with no change, which is why I called them! BIG WASTE OF TIME!!!!
I looked up the manual online - after you replace the bulb, you need to reset the bulb life timer. Using the TV remote push the menu button, SETUP menu, select the lamp reminder option to reset the hours to zero. That might help the status indicators.
