Try it when the machine is cold. When the machine has heated up it is more difficult to prime.

Same problem.. "fill system press steam" but no water was flowing. The pump has an air bubble in it. capressa customer service advised to continue (up to an hour of retrying if necessary) pressing the steam button, let the machine rest for a few minutes and retry again and again until the water starts flowing. Sure enough, after 45 minutes, and 30 or so times of pressing the button, it started to work again. While I was wasting away my saturday morning with this, Williams Sonoma said that they would have the machine repaired at no charge and have it shipped back to me if I wasn't able to get it working. I've owned this machine for almost 5 years (bought in Jan '05) and this is the only time I have had a problem. ..and to be fair, I had let the machine sit for several weeks without use, or water in the tank, when I encountered this problem.

Jura impressa s8, the display shows" please wait" and doesn't switch to the Coffee Ready.

This error is because:
1- Flow meter is blocked & not sending signal of water flow.

2- Entire hydraulic system is filled with Calcium deposits and slowed down flow of water.
Solution:
1- Open the machine and manually clean flow meter. It is located between the water tank & the pump.
2- Follow this by manually descaling the machine. Seelink. Do not use automatic descaling method suggested by Jura.
Stop using Filter cartridges as the machine reminders for descaling are silenced by use of filters. Services Unlimited Inc Parts Guru Since 1988

Can't get system fill message off jura impress z5

My guess would be that your water tank float is trapped.
The remidy would be to descale the watertank itself.
If you use the Calris filter cartridge. remove it before descaling with a mild commercially available descaler. Don't forget to rinse thorrowly afterwards and reinsert the filter. Always use cold water to fill the watertank.
Hope this helps

Press steam fill water

You can check the water valve, it may become clogged. But you should not disassemble machine if you are not specialist. Contact Jura service center if your machine still under warranty.

Hi, our Jura Impressa Xs90 keeps flashing 'fill system' & ' press steam'. There is plenty of water in it, we've tried removing the water and refilling. Doesn't work. If you press steam it just beeps...

Have you run a decal recently? This normally happens when a small particle (normally) an undesolved piece of the decal tablet is stuck in the flow meter, or sensor.
You can try and run warm water through the system and after about half a tank it should be sorted out.

When i discale my Z5 the machine stops after cleaning the caputower and then stays in his programm and doesn't go fearther. What can I do to make the programm go to the end.

Be sure to measure up the correct amount of water before starting up the descaling program. It should be 600ml. Then be aware that the program takes about 45 minutes, and is in two steps. The first 35 minutes is for the 600ml in the watertank. You will then be asked to empty tray, and fill watertank. You can now fill up the watertank with fresh, cold water. Then the machine will complete the program (about 10 minutes) with fresh water, rinsing the system.

So; Be accurate in measuring the correct amount of water (solvent)-600ml
and be patient, this takes about 45 minutes.

The S9 has been unused for three months and I cannot get it to get water to the brewer. It keeps telling me to fill the water and press the steam button. No such luck. Is there a way to prime this machine?

Hello
This is a common problem and there`s usually only 1 thing you can try to do yourself. Use luke warm water in the watertank and repeat the fill system procedure 4-5 times. If this doesn`t help, try to shut down the machine and try the same after 30 minutes. If nothing happens after you tried this a few times, then theres a problem with the solenoid valve for steam, and this need to be changed. That`s something you need help from a technician for.

No steam on Capresso Impressa S8

Most likely problem is over temp cut out switch. Small diode attached to the boiler to prevent damage during boil dry, or fault in the heating element itself. Difficult machines to repair and best handled by a service technician.

Machine says malfunction and won't froth milk

If you have a rotarywheel; Press and hold to enter the menu, turn to Maintenance, select Decalcify unit; empty tray as requested, fill up 600ml water in a container. Disolve 3 Descaling tablets in the water, and then fill it in the watertank. Press Maintenance button and you`re off.

If you don`t have a Rotary; Turn off the machine and let it cool down for a while, then push the Rinse/Maintenance button for a few seconds; then you will get the message Empty tray. Fill the solution in the watertank and press button.

It`s important that you use the right amount of water, or else the process will "never" finish.
