From what I find on the internet, the Receiver and the DVD player do not have any HDMI connections. Therefore, I'm using the S-Video connections. The best way to hook these components up is the following.
DVD player - Use an S-Video Cable on the OUTPUT and connect this to the S-Video Input on the Reciever. Also, connect the two audiot OUTPUTS (red/white) on the DVD player to the RECIEVER's two audio INPUTS (red/white)
RECEIVER - Use an S-Video Cable and connect to the S-VIDEO MONITOR OUTPUT and this will connect to the TV's S-VIDEO.
Speakers will connect to the Left Right Front Speaker, Left Right Rear Speakers, and Center Channel. The sub woofer needs to be connected to the Sub woofer/PreOut terminal on the Receiver.
have you tried to reset it to factory defaults yet? If it has a vcr button on the front, then hold the vcr button and press power...it should say reset on the front. Might not help, but worth a try.
you might want to switch the speakers that youre using. e.g front left put it to front right and vice versa to isolate if the speaker has the issue or the amplifier terminal. if the left speaker works on the other terminal then its a terminal issue.
Hello, I am sorry about your issue. If the speakers work on other terminals then it sounds like a problem with the receiver. It would need to be serviced or traded in. Please contact Onkyo at 800-229-1687 option #3. Thank you, Onkyo USA
Code that I have for sky + is: 01175. There are several other codes for other versions of sky boxes if you think you may need them but that should be the one.
Samsung has a huge code list: 10017, 10037, 10047, 10054, 10056, 10060, 10090, 10092, 10093, 10154, 10156, 10178, 10226, 10702, 10766, 10814, 11060, 11235. Unfortunatly you'll just have to try them one at a time until you find one that works. Hope this helps.
It must be about the sound quality need of your amplifier. The sound processor simply needs to get clear signals from sources such as fm/am receiver, dvd/cd players etc. in order to manage'em to give you the optimum surround sound. If the fm receiver has an "FM MUTE" option, I recommend that you turn it on. By doing so, you'll receive only good quality fm stations, furthermore your amplifier will let you get surround sound. The second issue you mentioned has its own answer inside. Use a "new" cd player, you can get optical cables, digital coax cables to improve the performance if you like..
