WHERE DOES THE SOUND COME FROM ON THIS SPECIFIC SUBWOOFER MODEL
THERES A FRONT BUT NO SOUNDS COME FROM THERE THERES A BACK CIRCLE THINGY BUT NO SOUND COMES FROM THERE MOST OF THE SOUND COMES FROM THE SIDE THINGY. FOR A 600WATT SYSTEM, BARELY ANY SOUND COMES OUT OF THE SUBWOOFER... OR MAY I HAVE THE CONNECTOR THINGIES ON WRONG. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?
Check all of your connections, and make sure all cords are firmly connected.
Make sure if the subwoofer has a power switch, it is on, and if not, that it is likely to be faulty.

Some specific model numbers might lead us to specific manuals and specific instructions.
Depends on your source and its amplifer complement. Some can drive a subwoofer directly while others just produce a Line Level subwoofer output for use by a separate amp feeding a subwoofer or self-amplified sub. The set-up of the source to produce a subwoofer output is totally dependent on its design. Generally, you have to 1) tell it you have a sub, 2) define how bass will be routed or shared among your various speakers accordingto their bass-handling capacities, 3) using test tones, set the relative ludness and crossover settings so you have a uniform sound field.
To find a manual, maybe run it by the manufacturer
theres no on/off button for the subwoofer. once you plugged in the power cable, turn on the speaker system by turning the VOLUME knob on the right satellite until you hear a click sound. An LED will light on the front of the right satellite when the power is ON. if you still dont hear any sound from the sub woofer then check to make sure that all cables are connected properly and are making a clear connection.
The subwoofer deals with low frequencies, which are not very directional (ie, it's harder to tell where the sound is coming from). So where you put it isn't critical to the sound, provided that it's not behind curtains or something that will soak up sound. The bigger speaker you have in your subwoofer; the less important the position is.
Putting it in a corner is something you're going to have to try, but you may even end up with better bass if you do, as a corner can act as a soundbox and emphasise bassy sounds. Conversely, your subwoofer may not like being in a corner and interference effects from the sound reflections could degrade the sound. Like I say, try it and see what it sounds like. It depends upon your subwoofer, what else is in the corner, precise positioning, and how reflective to sound the corner is. If it sounds terrible, move it a few inches and try again.
You can put it in front of you next to the TV, no problem. The only downside it it's a big ugly box. My wife always makes me hide my subwoofers behind something.
take an ohm meter and remove wires from speaker...put meter in the ohms position...you will put a lead on each of the terminals of the speaker...you should have a reading of 2, 4, 8 ohms....you may also try to use the continuity test, same, but there will be a beep ....this basically ensures that the coil running through the speaker is still good, as one piece, otherwise it will get no good reading and this is usually from blowing the speaker or sudden high bass sounds....
You can't just do that. Your sound card needs to have a specific jack just for subwoofers. If you plug it into the speakers, the computer recognizes the subwoofer as a pair of headphones and routes all sound through it. Remember, a subwoofer is not a normal speaker. It only allows a frequency of extremely low sounds (a.k.a. BASS) and won't play anything that you would need a tweeter for.
I WOULD LIKE 2 NO IF I CAN RESET MY PASSWORD 4 KLH SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM. I BOUGHT AT A SALE AND THERES NO WAY I CAN FIND OUT PASSWORD. IT IS A KLH SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM DVZ-2500 MODEL # IS 0044224000657.I WOULD ALSO LIKE 2 NO IF AND WHERE I CAN GET A MANUEL....
THIS UNIT HAS NO SUB WOOFER AMP IN IT. THE ONLY WAY TO OVER COME THIS IS TO HOOK THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT SPEAKERS STRAIGHT TO THE SUB WOOFER AND THEN GO FROM THE SUB WOOFER BACK TO THE INPUTS ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT FOR THE FRONT SPEAKERS. THE SUB WOOFER THIS WAY WILL EXTRACT THE BASS AND THE FRONT WILL RECEIVE THEIR PART. THIS SOUNDS CRAZY AS HELL I KNOW BUT THAT'S HOW I GOT MINE TO WORK. THE OUTPUT FOR THE SUBWOOFER IS USELESS AND PUT THERE FOR YOU TO HOOK UP AN AMP FOR A SUB WOOFER. EVERYTHING HAS SHORT COMINGS, AND THAT'S THE ONE FOR THE AX-720.
I'm not like an electrical engineer or anything, but it sounds to me that there are some problems with the circuitry that operates the sytem (the circuitry in the subwoofer/built-in amp inside the subwoofer). As for the volume control, have you adjusted it from the remote and from the controls right on the front of the subwoofer? If you only tried adjusting it from the remote, then you probably need a new remote (if you can get a new remote; I don't think most remotes work with Durabrand). If you tried adjusting it from the controls on the subwoofer unit, then the subwoofer's circuitry probably needs to be replaced.
this is just a shot in the dark, but have you attempted to play around with your sound driver's configuration? I'm unfamiliar with the newer Nforce stuff, but try looking around in the sound manager Nvidia uses. It sounds like it's been configured to swap speakers. (As an example, I'm using the realtek audio manager on an asus p5k-vm board myself, and the option shows up as "Swap Center/ Subwoofer Output" in my configuration.)
