My car is a 2004 kia amanti, not a nissan sentra. the alternator and drivebelt has got nothing to do with engine not turning over. the battery was checked out at a shop and it is o.k.

If depends on the milage of the car, some lights come on after 100,000 miles just to remind you that maintanace is require but is good idea to run the car thru a scanner to be sure.

That usually means the steering wheel is lock and you must turn the steering wheel either left or right firmly and try turning the ignition on at the same time, if this fails, the tumblers in the ignition lock cylinder are seized and must be replaced. but make sure you work that steering wheel left and right first (firmly).

SOURCE: The check engine light just came on my Kia Amanti

that means the computer detected a problem and need scan. take it to an autopart store and they will scan it for for free and tell you whats the code. Good luck

P0302 is a cylinder misfire detected in cylinder #2. it can be caused by Bad spark plug,failed plug wire or coil pack, or failed injector. these are the most common reasons in most likely order.
