SOURCE: My songs go to files and I got locked out.

This player was manufactured in the pre-DRM era. As soon as you plug it into the computer now, all of the songs are now read as files that should be copy-protected, but do not have the new DRM encryption on them. All of your precious songs will have to be re-downloaded - annoying, I know. It happened to me also.

File Format Not Supported

The songs that you recently tried to add were either from: iTunes, DRM-protected WMA's, or songs with expired licenses - none of which will play on your Philips. Go ahead and delete the non-working songs off of your GoGear. When you re-rip the songs from CD, move the mouse over the Rip tab in Windows Media Player 11, click the black arrow under the word Rip, and go to Rip Options --> Format --> Mp3. Now, re-rip and then reload the songs.

Good luck!
