Engine will not turn over
SOURCE: 2004 Nissan Maxima
it is a cable that links you transmision to the dashboard
i am not sure what the name of the cable is
but if you hold the start position and switch the gears to neutral it will start.
SOURCE: loud squealing noise
The noise is most likely the serpentine belt. Check it's condition and that of the belt tensioner. It sounds like the belt is slipping, causing the squealing noise u describe. As the belt warms up, it's getting a better 'grip' and the noise stops. Turning on the heat also turns on the a/c in newer cars, this added drag on the belt (one more component to turn, the a/c compressor) would explain why it happens when u turn on the heat. Is the belt original? If yes, it's time to change it, and check the belt tensioner to make sure it's doing it's job of keeping the belt snug on all the pulleys. Let me know how u make out.
SOURCE: Engine does not run smooth
Sounds like a fuel problem, Bad fuel pump relay of actual fuel pump check relay first may be working intermittently.( Replace relay first before going to pump). Good luck thanks for using FIX YA
SOURCE: Squealing noise
After your vehicle heats up, spray your belt with water. If it squeels, it's a belt. If not, it'll be a tensioner or pulley.
SOURCE: i have an 03 nissan altima engine makes loud clicking noise
1st check the the oil level and the vehicle's oil type.(owners manuel) 5w30-10w30
10w 30 is a thicker oil and could possibly be causing this.(Moves more freely through the engine heats the oil)
