These are the minimum requirements for basic functionality. Actual
requirements vary, depending on the system configuration and the
programs and features that you choose to install. If you are installing
Windows XP over a network, you may need additional available hard-disk
space.
The minimum hardware requirements for Windows XP Home Edition are:
Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
At least 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM (128 MB is recommended)
At least 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available space on the hard disk
CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
Keyboard and a Microsoft Mouse or some other compatible pointing device
Video adapter and monitor with Super VGA (800 x 600)or higher resolution
Sound card
Speakers or headphones
And from what I have seen (THANK YOU for the model #) your system SHOULD be able to run it at bare minimum.
You can download the driver from the manufacturer's website. Go to site and search for your model number. The download is free of charge under support tab.
It sounds like the cables for the sound & touchpad were not fully connected. Take it back to the servicer and ask them to reconnect your audio & touchpad cables.
the windows xp sp1a drivers should work fine on the sp2 after you get the network card working try windows updated to see if it list any new updated drivers
When I touch the touch pad my screen display goes off. it comes on sometimes by itself or when touch pad is touched. I have connected the toughbook to an external dispaly and can work no problems. help
