Want to date stamp my pictures on fuji j40

I don't see a manual for the FinePix J40 on the Fuji support site: https://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/models/ . The available J series manuals include a J35 and a J50, https://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/models/j/ . Fuji does list a model F40FD.

Since the model J35 is a 12MP camera, the manual for the J30/J35/J38 may help you use your J40. https://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/manuals/pdf/index/j/finepix_j30_manual_01.pdf .

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

You should have some bill or proof that you purchased the camera. Send a notice to the company representative in India that due to lack of proper service and defective camera, you are going to sue for damages. Ask him to reply within 14 days. The letter you send to him should be typed clearly on green A4 size, folded, clipped, addressed Regd Ack Due. DO NOT insert letter in envelope, the company will say it received an empty envelope

When reply comes see a good & reasonable lawyer. Or you can see one right away now for advise.
