SOURCE: DLink DI-624s - can't get Cisco VPN Client to connect.

The "Virtual Server" setting is designed to give the general public access to a network resrouce (web/ftp/media server) on your internal network. If your the VPN concentrator is external to your network (meaning you'll have to use the internet to connect to it), then you won't need to define a virtual server on the DI-624.

You'll just need to enable the IPSEC and PPTP VPN Passthrough which it sounds like you've already done this. I've run into some ISP's that block VPN connections out of their network. If you have the ability, try to directly connect your laptop into your cable/DSL modem in place of your router and see if you can make a VPN connection, if not contact your ISP, if you can then verify you enabled the VPN passthroughs because your router is blocking them.

GIve it a shot and let us know your results.

Go to the router site by using 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.0 or 192.168.1.1 password is admin and leave the rest blank. Unless you have already set a password. You can configure your router settings there. Thanks for using FixYa! John

Vpn site to site

you need to create an IPSec tunnel between the router and windows server 2003 (run secpol.msc). From the dlink router, you need to set the IP address of the VoIP gateway as part of the LAN that is included on the VPN tunnel. Since it is the server 2003 that has a static IP, you need to initiate the connection from the Dlink router.

Remote Desktop via VPN problem

Make sure that the Active Directory setting for the User you are using to RDP with (LDAP FQN) has the remote access option turned on.

Also make sure that the PC's you want to access have static IP addresses. Not sure if that was mentioned.

Printing with Dlink DI-624S and VPN connection

I am guessing this VPN is something work related and not a VPN you setup yourself?? If that is the case your company's VPN access will not allow you to pass from there network back to yours which is why you are unable to print to your local home printer when connected to VPN. You might could run it by your IT staff and see if they will allow connection and help you set it up. If not then simply email the docs to yourself and then print them out after you are finished using VPN connection.

Hope this Helps

I can not connect to my vpn when using wireless dlink. i have no problem accessing my vpn network when direct hook up.

Try calling your VPN network provider and asked them for ports numbers and IP address that needs to be opened on your router and give that information to your router manufacturer and have them open the said ports.
