Question about Sylvania DVR90VE DVD Recorder/VCR
I've misplaced my owners manual and since I haven't tried to transfer (dub) my 8mm tapes onto DVD-R discs for a year or so, I've forgotten how. Whenever I try to make the transfer, the screen on my monitor continues to read "E-24 recording error. Cannot record on this disc." (Note, this message shows up whenever I push the DVD Record button. Since these are new Maxell 16X DVD-R discs, I don't understand why I can't record. Sure would appreciate any help from fellow Sylvania dvd-vhs dual recording units.
From comments posted on the Internet by other Sylvania users with a similar problem, I learned that I had to use a 4X DVD-R (the ones I had been trying to record on were 16X). And I found that Office Depot sells the sometimes hard-to-find 4X format, so that's where I'm headed right after lunch. Thanks.
