The Emerson pump is in a jaccuzi spa. The frame on the pump is a 48y. Model # T55MWCCE-1208
The seals are specific to the Jacuzzi pump housing not to the Emerson motor. Most Jacuzzi pumps use the PS-200 or PS-201 seal (some have it listed as AS-20X) here is a Pump Seal Cross Reference.

Is this pump for a 'in ground' body of water or for a fiberglass spa?
Someone MUST make something similar.
If yours is in ground you have many options based upon your filter media and the size of the suction and discharge lines.
If you can give me more information, I can more than lilely answer your question.

cut power to pump.... pull of rear cover... ther e should be a shaft in the middle of the back of the motor... you will need a wrench or channel locks or something like that to hold shaft in place... then unscrew the impeller while holding this shaft

Common sources for a burning smell in order of most likely, depending on how your spa was equipped, in my opinion would be:
Blower motor - Worn out brushes on a DC motor arc heavily and will give off an odor.
Heater - Elements build up scale over time with less than ideal water chemistry and will give off an odor when heating.
Pump - As a pump nears total failure it can overheat enough to begin to burn the winding insulation and tie down cords causing a burning smell.
Control box/electronics - least likely but a failing relay or GFI recepticle can also burn and eventually fail.
