First of all take the battery out disasemble as much as posible take covers off use air to blow inside and dry leave over night upside down
use cilica to absorb moistrure if you have any leave in a dry warm enviroment use a low hair dryer all these might save it test next day see if comes alive

SOURCE: R4DS works in other ds lite but not my own, why?

this is a know issue with R4 clone cards, most R4 cards sold today are not real R4NDS cards because they have been discontinued
Most R4 clones have some trouble with firm version on DS make version and date.

SOURCE: ds lite no game inserted

Look down in the cartrage area and see if one of the pins has become broken or bent. This is the most common problem for this symptom. If this is the case, then you will probably have to take it to your local game store for repair.

SOURCE: Nintendo DS lite "L" "R" button dont work

OK the buttons are probably dirty. I had this same problem with my DS. Pry open the outside edges of the buttons until there is a gap. Blow into the gap while making sure you dont spit in the console. This should clear out the dirt and make your buttons work.

Water isn't what breaks electronics, it's trying to turn it on while it's wet. All I can suggest is to leave it alone for a while, like 2 weeks, and it might work. There is a very slim chance though, since you've already tried to turn it on.

My daughter spilled water onto the touch screen of her two-day old DS Lite. The screen has obvious water in it and won't read the game card. Can't get it apart because no screwdriver will fit anything! ...

My DS Lite went through the wash one time. Luckily it didn't go through the whole cycle. It didn't work right away, for the next three days actually. But on the third day it did start working. I didn't have any calibration issues on the touch screen, thank god, but the L and R trigger buttons stopped working. Luckily, I only play Pok'emon, so it didn't hinder me too bad. But yeah, just give it time.

Water came in contact of my ds. I am charging it now but everytime I try to turn it on it flashes and dies. What can I do to fix it?

You have to send the DS into Nintendo. Sorry, that's the only way to fix it. They can do the full fixing for $75 and replace the shell covering and screens, a total clean-up and they'll fix any other minor problems. Here is the link to order a fix-up for screens that came in cotact with water:
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/repair/dslite_repair_home.jsp
Click on where you're from, click on "System and Game Problems," then click on "Liquid spilled on system." You can either remove the battery and let it dry out, get a new battery, or send the DS into Nintendo if more then the battery got wet.
Hope this helps.

Hi - we bought a Nintendo DS lite for our kids about a year ago. Suddenly none of the game paks work. My husband has tried cleaning with a cloth and has inspected the connectors but no luck. Is this DS...

You could take it to a repair shop and see what the people there can do to help you. I have had the same problem, try testing the games on a friends DS. If they still don't work, then you know that it is the game, if the game does work, then it is the DS itself. If your kids have dropped them in anything, if they have spilled something on them, or if they eat and play the DS at the same time, thatcould be the problem too.

Hope it helps~

My ds lite will not turn on

Since this was caused by water damage. Your really out of the Warranty Boundries. A Typical Nintendo Warranty covers: Faulty equipment (Only Nintendo Products), Device stops working or works poorly (But due to Appropriate use)
Unless you purchased a warranty from a store, and even those usually don't cover water damage. Your most likely out of luck, Sorry :(

DS top screen

You might have gotten some water or something in your system. Let it dry for a while and see what will happen. Now, if that doesnt work there are two alternatives:
1. If you are willing to risk your system then open it up and clean out the inside (there might be water in there. I did this with my laptop after I spilled coffee on it and it worked :).
2. Call nintendo and pay $90 to get it fixed by the pros.
