Sidekick 3 my sidekick 3 dont turn on but when i put it to charge it works then when i take the wire out it turns off any help my email is [email protected]

what i did was take out my sim charg it den cut it on it will cut on put sim bak in afta u cut it off and try again do a couple of time it will work

My friend did the same thing to her phone. The screen is going to be black. She can text, but without seeing what shes writing or hardly what anyone else is writing to her. I'm not a mechanic or anything, I would just get a new phone. Or maybe someone else can help you. Try searching on google or ask.com.

Try this, though is used for when the device is randomly rebooting aswell, it might help you to force your Sidekick to come back on:

1. Check the device's battery level for at least two bars of strength.
2. If the battery level is low, charge the battery.
3. If the issue is not resolved, remove the back cover.
4. Remove the battery.
5. Wait 10 seconds.
6. Press and hold the W key.
7. While pressing down the W key, re-insert the battery.
   • The device restarts and after approximately 15 seconds, the 'Recovery' screen appears.
     
     
     
     
8. Select the desired language.
9. Select Reboot to restart the device.
10. Your Sidekick should go back to the main screen as normal. Good luck

alright..my sidekick does he same thing but i fund a temp fix....the guy at the store says its the charging port..idk.....first plug it in....let it charge 4 ten min....then try to put in on...it will say the low battery sign...dont worry...then t8 sumting pointy and push it in the little reset hole behind the screen as you swivel it...as soon as you see the little box with the circles in it you press and hold the space button... hopeully it will start by showing the four butttons....if it does start and cuts off at the tmoblie sign jus let it charge longer and do it agian....hopefully it will work on yours it worked on mine....gud luk

the phone needs a new main-board or reflash the board to get it up and running again.

Is the orange light coming on but you have no power? If so, then it is probably not charging. The sidekick 3 charging port is notorious for going bad. The little contacts that send power to battery come loose.

Find a friend that has a sidekick 3 or sidekick ID and try out their battery. If it powers up, it is your charging port.

The easiest thing to do is to get a charging cradle that has a spare battery charging slot. They run about 25 dollars off off ebay and allows you to charge the battery seperate from the phone. A spare battery is good too as it allows you to have one charging at all times.

heres what i would say. let it charge for more than hr, and this bring it up to speed..if not i believe the battery may be defective, i just experienced this problem last night..the battery happen to be defective, then put another battery after awhile i went to sleep woke up, and it wouldn start...i let it charge for a while and it was good as new
