The one furthest from the switch is volume. The next one is a tone knob. Volume rasises or lowers the resistance and makes the guitar louder. You can also "clean up" a distorted tone by rolling off volume. Tone makes the sound more bassy or more treble.
Use Z-enhancer to select custom (you may have to hold it down for 2 secs)
A-M button then selects or bass treble settings.
volume up/down changes the setting
my initial reply was...On the function button you may need to depress it for 3 seconds to activate base, treble, balance etc But
then I found this, "Rotary Volume Control: The CD receiver uses a 7-way rotary volume control that increases and decreases the volume of the stereo from 0 to 35. The rotary knob also controls other audio settings such as Balance, Fader, Bass, Mid, Treble and preset EQ settings. In addition, the rotary knob allows you to scroll through and select your music tracks when the Music Search function is activated. Cheers, this should help ya.
Under the silver volume knob is a thin silver bar. Push it and the menu will pop up on the screen. Continue to push this bar to scroll through the different options. It controls bass, treble, balance, fade, sub volume etc. Good luck, hope this helped.
Look in your owners manual and make sure you are turning the right knobs or pushing the right buttons once you have the adjustment screen for the bass/treble showing. It could be that they use different knobs/buttons than the volume control. If you are using the right controls, then you have a problem that only a shop can fix. You might reset by taking away all the power (acc and bu) for a couple minutes and then reconnect, but if that doesn't help then it time to go to the shop.
