I feel sorry for you, i really do.

I worked on three seperate PAVILION desktops and the user wanted to go from ME to XP, problem was that all the internal hardware parts where from 1995, and they got it in 2000.

So since the hardware was old, no one had the drivers any more and we upgraded to windows XP, nothing worked, including the network and modem. becasue these where considered refurbished machines, they can get away with using out of date parts.

I had to go online and search for every driver indevidually online, took about an hour..


I would suggest that you Try the HP website first, of course.

Then if you cant find any help there, you can try searching for every part driver indevidually. Time consuming and low probability of finding them all.

What OS to XP OS did you upgrade from? ME or 2000?

Did you do a fresh install or did you actually run the upgrade where it builds on the old OS?
