Norstar m7324 won't come off night ring

I left my phone on night ring over the weeknd (like every night & weekend) and now my feature button won't release it from night ring.

  • Anonymous Jul 26, 2012

That did it!!! Thank you. Apparently that is the one button that came "unprogrammed" when the power went off over the weekend. Thank you.

SOURCE: Norstar m7324 - forward to outside line

The solution for someone using the administrator phone (receptionist phone) is after discovering you have a fax call, depress the <link> button. Dial the fax number, wait for it to answer, then depress <link> again. This places call 1 with an outside number.

Apparently this is also available if you have a feature button by depressing <feature> <7> <1> instead of <link>. I haven't tried this so don't take my word for it.

This can also be used to forward a caller to an outside line, such as a cell phone. In the manufacturing business, our shop manager is never in the office. I may ask him if this is a viable solution.

When the Norstar m7324 phone is set to night mode after business hours, the caller goes direct to voicemail when the caller dials an extension. How do I change it so that it rings at the extension a f

Night service will only control if AA to answer (main greeting) or human, you!.
If people enter extension and it goes straight to vmail then the user invoked that option (Feature 987) which is what you should do when you leave your office.

Norstar meridian 7208 won't ring.

Does it ring when you move it to a known ringing port? Is it programmed to ring (Terminals & Sets) Appear and Ring? Do you have Automatic Set Relocation turned on so the extension number stays with the phone?

There are a lot of features to check for ringing, including the volume of the set.

Activating Night Call on Norstar m7324

Glad to hear that helped...

I am just going to post this page as the solution, to state that the issue is now resolved and in to the solutions category this will go...
There is one other thing that you can do to make things easier, so you can press a button to activate this Feature 871 rather than always having to type it in...

Press Feature * 0 (this is a button inquiry) and press all the buttons on your set, look for a free place on the set, and when you find one.
Hit the RLS button, then dial Feature * 3 -> press the button that is free -> and dial Feature 8 7 1...
Voila this button has now been programmed as the Night/Day button on the set, meaning that you can now just hit the one button rather than dialling F871 all the time.

Have a great day!
