How do I recharge a 15 yr old Freezer Model #UL2494ECW8

U have to buy and install a shrader valve on the low side going to the compressor. Correct refrigerant charge is critical and you need to carefully measure and introduce the correct amount of freon, preferably with a refrigeration scale.

Light bulb is not working. how to change it and what kind of bulb is it model: FKFH21F7HW

Good Afternoon Rose, I am happy to assist you!

Before replacing the light bulb in your Frigidaire freezer please confirm that the temperature control is set in the OFF position and unplug your appliance to avoid electrical shock. Typically, you may remove the light bulb by turning it counter-clockwise. The old bulb can be replaced by an equivalent watt bulb (part number is 216988100) available either from part distributors or hardware stores. I hope this information helps to some degree!

What is total charge for up right freezer

Hello jharrislaye -If you are referring to approximately what the retail price is for this particular product, unfortunately base on the age of the unit, that information is very difficult to find. However, similar units manufacture nowadays is roughly about $700.00-$1,000.00. If you are speaking about a Freon charge, that would be base on the type of Freon the unit requires and on the actual service technician providing the service. You may locate information regarding the Freon on the serial tag, which is typically located inside the cabinet on the left side wall.

What to do if you have a freon leak in the freezer

charge with detail (that is a Freon with Red dy solution to help locate your system leak) locate leak, repair using silver solder, evacuate system completely, pull vacuum down to 27" plus Lbs. vacuum, close system to hold vac pressure, monitor pressure for 30 minute or so, if vacuum hold pressure then you have successfully fixed your system leak, next hook up your system to the manifold gages assembly to a Freon supply source, all this while retainning your vacuum pressure, slowly crack open the valve on the manifold to allow the new freon to enter your system until you see pressure building up in you system, next monitor the discharge line i.e. the bigger line until you see frost extending outside of your freezer unit toward your compressor assembly, then close the freon supply valve, wait for a while to see if the frost line recede into the unit box, if it does not recede but stay out of the box or extend some more then you must must release some freon slowly a very small amount at the time until the frost line has regressed into your freezer box. this should complete your repair, good luck

While trying to remove built up ice poked hole in freezer letting all the freon out

This requires system repair, replacement of drier, triple evacuation, and weighed in refrigerant charge.
May also need to change the compressor oil depending amount of moisture absorbed.
This is a timely and costly method which must be performed by EPA Certified Technician.

I have a hotpoint deep freezer and it needs freeon. How and where do i put it.

First you need to know what kind of refrigerant it needs , and the amount of it in weight (oz,lb, gm ) If needs freon means there's a leak because all the refrigerations system are seal , so the leak has to be fixed and then recharged the unit using your manometers to check low and high pressures while you charging the system through the low pressure service valve (remember after fixed the leak to vacum the system and replace the dryer).

Need to know what type of freon to use to recharge a one yaer old Beverage Air Sandwich table refrigeration unit. Is this the same process as recharging an automotive AC system?

Beverage air used R134a almost exclusively on refrigerators. The process is similiar to ac systems. You should weigh the charge in as per the data plate. Be precise as over or under charge can dramitically affect the performance of the unit. Hope this helps
