Appparently the problem could be with your location, or just that there may be a delay before time correction until the old date - check again the link to amazon i posted before - there are a couple of new reviews that discusss the daylight saving issue, also - The US clock says; "I have a radio controlled clock that receives NIST time. Will the new rules affect me? Your radio controlled clock should automatically implement the new DST rules. The WWVB broadcast contains information that tells your clock whether DST or ST is currently in effect. NIST always sends this information to agree with the current DST rules, so your clock should change automatically on the day of the change, just as it has in previous years. If the time is wrong after the DST change, make sure that your clock has recently received the time signal. Many radio controlled clocks have a synchronization indicator that will tell you if your clock has recently synchronized. If the clock isn't receiving the signal, click here for some tips on improving reception. If it has received the signal recently, check to make sure that the clock's time zone setting is set properly. Also, if you live in an area where DST is not observed (Arizona, for example), you need to disable the automatic DST function on your clock. I have a non-radio controlled clock that used to automatically correct itself for DST. Will it still work? The only way to find out is to wait and see, or to contact the manufacturer of the clock. There are a large number of non-radio controlled clocks, marketed under names like "AUTOSET" or "SMARTSET" that have internal firmware that automatically changes the time by one hour on the transition days to and from DST. These clocks do not connect to a NIST time service, and some of them will no longer work properly due to the DST rule change. For example, clocks manufactured prior to the rule change will probably not switch to DST in March, but will wait until April in accordance with the old rule. If you have a clock like this that fails due to the new rules, your only recourse is to adjust the clock manually, or to contact the manufacturer and ask for an upgrade or a replacement. If you need to contact manufacturer check http://www.emersonscott.com/ezsetamclocr.html Hope this helps:)

    Sorry no real solution, but;

Don't throw it away though - check locally -there are always organisations that will take unwanted electronic gear and find a way to put it to some use - if in doubt check with your local garbage/rubbish disposal company and see waht they have to offer - if they are not inerested then make them be!

Not grinding an axe here (much) but hope you can find a better solution than throwing it in a landfill.

If you want to buy a new one, check the reviews on amazon.com type in clock radios and you get a lot of helpful info. - hopefully the dst problem will not happen again - although i read that the US might repeal the new dst law after a year or two if it doesn't seem to make any energy savings. maybe worth keeping your current clock until they change back. you can understand why the manufacturers are a little confused and chucking out things that don't work.

apologies again for not SOLVING your prolem, but I hope you get more luck again if you have any other issues for fixya.

    :)))

To disable DST functions on the clock, Hold the Time Zone button in for 10 seconds or until OFF displays on the front. Release the button. Now it will NOT adjust for daylight savings. Repeat the procedure to re-activate it.

I couldn't figure out how to change the time zone because I didn't have the manual. Here's how to change time zone:
1. On top of clock you hold down time zone button
2. Push the up or down button to change the time zone. There are 7 time zones. The clock is set at zone 2 -Eastern Standard time. My zone is 3 -Central Time - I then had to manually set the correct time -(I'm not sure why but I did that) To test if the time zone worked properly I switched the time zones and the time on the clock adjusted automatically to the associated time for that area. I, of course, moved it back to zone 3 and the correct time for central time was displayed. I am waiting to see if the time properly adjust when time the DST changes. Also, for the manual: http://www.emersonradio.com/owner_manuals_list.php?ID=157

This is the manufacturers website (Emerson) for the EZ Set clock radio. Hope this helps.

The problem may be because DST was changed last year.

I bought a alarm clock that sets itself last year, but they had been made before DST was changed, so now when DST usually starts it jumps itself ahead 1 hour, and when it usually ends, falls back an hour. Well the spring head is a weak to late, and the fall back is a week to early. Sucks, but I just have to manually change it anytime it resets itself, until its correct anyways.

I had a problem with my clock today,Sunday,March,11th. I live in the Eastern time zone so I changed my clock to the next region East of this zone. Worked great...now at the beginning of April when the time usually changes, I will adjust my setting back to the Eastern Time Zone!

HELLO MY CLOCK DID NOT DO AUTO DAYLIGHT TIME HOW DO I FIX THE TIME TO ADJUST TO ONE HOUR A HEAD THANK YOU INGER WELCH

All you need to do to advance your clock an hour for daylight savings time, is hold down your clock button without letting it go. Then press your hour button once and you should be all set.
Most clocks that are older than when they changed the date of daylight savings time will either not change it for you on the right day anymore. Or they don't have that feature in it.
If yours does have an automatic daylight savings feature...you may find it helpful to take it off "automatic" and just change it manually from now on. That's what I do with my VCR. It has an automatic daylight savings time feature, but it's useless now that they have changed the date when we set our clocks for DST.
Some manufacturers will give you instructions on how to change the feature settings so your product will again work correctly for you. But not all will or can. You can look it up at your manufacturers website to know for sure.
Good Luck...and I hope this helps you.

The clock changes for daylight savings time on the wrong day. it did this the past few times the time had changed. the date on the back of the unit is 2004. didn't they move the weekend of daylight savings...

Daylight Savings Time was extended in 2007.. (the Act was in 2004)..

So your clock worked fine for three years.. now.. if you can turn this automatic feature off I suggest you do and just set it manually... otherwise you will make the change.. and it will make it again for you!

Best of luck

My clock went back one hour on Sunday 10/25, need to get it to move ahead one hour.

The clock program for Daylight savings Time is programmed for the old "third Sunday in October" changeover. The new changeover is the first Sunday in November. The program probably cannot be updated. If there is no button or setting to disable automatic change to Daylight Savings Time you can set the time manually and then change it manually to Daylight Savings on November 1 for the time to be correct.
