It is possible that the driver is not installed correctly, or not even installed at all. What you can try, is to go to manufacturers web site, and download the driver needed for it, and install it

how long has it been since the batt was purchased? usually batteries are considered consumable parts. meaning in due time, performance will degrade, laptop batteries should be good for 1-2 yrs, after that it battery hold will degrade. also check your ac adapter, try removing the batt, and turn the system on. if the system works without the batt. then it might be the batt itself thats having issues...

Hi, If you are talking about the Boot, HDD, Bios password, then the only one way to recover it is to implement a chip on the systemboard to shorcut the protection or to contact Lenovo for a systemboard replacement. On my x60s, the only way to wake it up from standby (or hibernation) is by pressing the "Fn" key on the bottom left side of the keyboard.
