Actually the SWA-4000 IS compatible with the htz-310t. I'm using the htz-310 system with an SWA-4000 and it works perfectly fine. under the list of compatible systems with the SWA-4000 you'll see the htz-310. so i don't know where the other answerer is getting his facts.
once you press the nubmers on the remote, 0, 1, 3 5 or whatever the numbers are. turn the system on with the on button on the system not of the remote.
if the blue led is on on the swa-4000 then it's communication, there's a link.
if you do a sound test it will not send the static to the rear speakers, at least it doesn't for me. however there IS sound ouf of those speakers. so i know they work.
Swa-4000 wireless module isn't compatible with htz310. You need to buy Samsung's swa-3000 to work with your htz310. I had the same problem. It tells you in your owners manual under conectivity where it explains about hooking up a wireless module(pg.55-60). I hope this helps.

rear chk display shows on moniter and rear speakers go off and on inderpendantly.
