If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.
I went and got a card reader....it still uploads like 612 photos, but not the 20 i took the other day, I can see them on the camera- will I ever be able to transfer them? was my memory card full?
Oh dear- I see that I used an older memory card from my d40 nikon, can i still get the newest pics from the d60?
It appears the latest photos is stored on the camera's internal memory. Try connecting the camera's USB cable to the camera and then turn on your camera and plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on your computer. The computer should see the camera as an external storage device, you can then open the camera's folder and copy the photos to your computer.
tried that- it still doesnt show the recent pics- is it because the memory card wasn't formatted for the d60? can i do that now and still get the new pics?
If you format the memory card you will lose all the photos that are stored on the memory card. I've noticed my D60 has been getting slower to connect to my laptop for some reason. Lately it's taken MINUTES for the pictures to come up. I don't know why it's slowed down so much, but you might want to give it some time before you accuse it of "not loading."
