Ok tv is about a yr old warranty just expired i was watching tv and decided i wanted to play xbox i go to connect it and my speakers start making a fuzy whistling sound i have clear picture i have a 55hds69 model i tried opening it up to see if something wrong with speakers but they seem to be working fine so its not the speakers that are blown out so to say well can some one please help me thanks guys
What type of connector are you using fo your xbox? I think
We need to isolate the problem, so to start to you get the fuzzy noise on any other channel or input, do you get the sound without the xbox connected?
Its not a problem I enjoy fixing things, does the sound stop when you unplug the xbox or dvd player? If it does try switch the wires, plug the red into the white and the white into the red, I want to see if the problem moves.
ok, now we are getting somewhere, disconnect everything from the tv you have attached, one by one listening for a change in sound, by doing this we isolate the problem to the tv only. with everything disconnected we want to change the input selected, moving from video one->video two-> hdmi-> and so on, listening for any changes in sound. once we isloate it to the tv we can start isolating the area.
hahahha, that wouldnt be good, lets disconnect everything from the tv, so the only cord running to it is the power cord. see if sound disappears, you said you hooked speakers up to it right? do you do it internally or externally? also does it have a headphone jack? if it does hook some headpnhones up and see if you get the sound in the head phones. we are try to isolate the circuit that is giving us the problem..
ok, woohoo, we getting somewhere you still have the cover off right? what we are looking for is wire that are very near sharp metal edges, be very gentle we are only concerned with the analog board and the wires going to it. We are looking for any wire that may be grounded, it wont take much from speaker vibration for the metal edges to nick the thin plastic covering on the wires. You have a problem with the analog board or its wiring but we are getting closer.
The board is a high probability but wiring is just as likely, if one of the wire grounds out itll generate a signal and be amplified by the sound board.
Well, you have two options have it fixed or troubleshoot it further. With it open you would want to lift wire paying close attention to where they go and what the touch, any wire that are runing to the power suply you want to leave alone and any ribbon cables dont need to be messed with, basically just loook for shorts, you could even use a plastic knife to move wires aroun with the power on to see if the noise disappears. Since the tv is working and what ever the problem is, it is most liekly very simple. If you have the cover off post a pic of the bck of the tv so i can see inside and I can edit the photo and show you were to look.
JUst post on here, yah i wouldnt move that thing without help, gotta wiegh close to 200 pounds or more, post a pic on here and ill keep an eye out for the update.

no same sound all around i connected the dvd player and disconnected it one by one as suggested and i did the same with the cable box one by one disconnected and same fuzzy sound no change in the pitch or the fuzz i dont know im about to just light it up and watch the tv melt lol
no headset jack and i took the cover off an unplugged the speaker and plugged up one of my surrond sound speakers up internally and it still gave me the fuzzy sound from it and no with the tv with nothing connected it still has the sound
oh my god im horrible i had given up and just put it all back lol i came to the conclusion tha it was some sort of board where the speakers are connected to
so what do you suggest that i do cause when i opened it their was a bunch of wires lol

I had a similar problem. I changed the audio to Mono and it helped with the "White Noise" I was hearing. Not sure if this is the same issue, but you may want to give it a try to see if it leads to something else. I hope this helps.
