I have just put a new battery in my 1992 3.1i8 BMW and consequently reset the radio. It has locked in 3 dashes and I can't enter any numbers in. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you do not have the book for the radio, I believe there is a trick to entering the code. Its not just using the numbers. I think you have to hold another button down while entering the code or use the station up down button to enter the code. Try hitting all the buttons one at a time and see if that enters anything on the desplay.

I have a tape locked in the player (BMW M5),how can I remove it or remove the radio to fix the problem. Thank you.

BMW radios have a small tool needed to pull radio. Stop by any BMW dealer, service advisor can do it for you. (I used to work for BMW)

NEED RADIO CODE FOR 1995 325 BMW. ITS A BMW FACTORY INSTALLED, ORIGIONAL RADIO. BATTEERY DIED AND IM LOCKED OUT

You must remove the radio (unscrew the two security screws under the small flaps at the left and right sides of the radio face), get the radio serial number from th etag on the radio, then go to a BMW dealer, who can look up the security code.

The two screws require a special tool for removal. you can get it at Bavarian Autosport:

Is there anything i should be wary of when removing my battery, will it mess any of the electrical settings up?bmw z4 3ltre thanks

Just make sure your radio is turned off before removing the battery. If the radio is on and the battery is removed and replaced, the radio may get locked out. This will prompt you to enter and reset code to your radio to have it work again. Good luck and after you battery has been replaced, just reset the radio stations setting and time.

BMW Z3 WRONG UNLOCK RADIO CODE HOW TO GET THE RIGHT ONE

If the radio is displaying code wait, or wait, then the ignition and radio must remain on for 1hour. I would contact a dealer within the USA and provide them with your radio serial number. The serial number can be displayed in the radio by pressing and holding down the "M" button while turning on the ignition.

My radio locked

Simple to fix!

Go to a dealer of that car (eg. Ford, Holden, BMW etc.)

They will fix you up.
There is nothing I can tell you right here.

hello . ok this happends after you try 3 times an incorrect radio code on the radio then you have to let the radio on for 60 min and the lock display will turn to code again if this happends constanly then the radio protection is bad and you need a new radio or you may take the radio to a radio fix place for them to take the protection part out
