Question about HTC HD7 Cell Phone
My home screen is black. the lock screen is fine, and when at the (black) home screen, the volume up and down animation are visable. along with the power off animation. Only the home screen is affected. Is it toast, or savable? I love this phone and want to save it if at all possible.

SOURCE: I dropped my htc hd7
It sounds like both the glass, and the inner LCD has been damaged. I think the LCD needs replacing because you cannot get any picture up, but since it has turned black when you use it, it sounds like it needs replacement. I do repairs and I am in the directory, but you may prefer finding someone local who can help.
Let me know if you need further help.

I have Outlook 2010 client on my PC. My ISP mail account is forwarded to Outlook via POP3 mail account. I also have a gmail account to which I forward all mail to from my ISP mail address. My gmail calendar is bi-directionally synchronised to my Outlook calendar using 'Google Calendar Sync' and likewise my gmail contacts are bi-directionally synchronised to my Outlook contacts using 'Go Contact Sync'. then it was a simple matter on my Windows Phone 7 to create a Google mail account to my gmail account. I can create contacts, calendar entries in either Outlook, Gmail or my phone and they are all sync'd with each other. 'Google Calendar Sync' and 'Go Contact Sync'' are free downloads.

Please note that all data will be deleted from the HTC Inspire 4G as a result of this procedure. This process may or may not delete data stored on the microSD card. We recommend backing up all of your personal data before proceeding.
First, try this:
If that doesn't work, or if your phone is frozen:
All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the HTC Inspire 4G. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.
