Chuck tines on Ryobi Hammer Drill Are Not Engaging Uniformly

I have a 2spd 1/2" Ryobi hammer drill. The problem is that 1 of the 3 chuck tines is not in line with the other two. This prevents the chuck from retaining the installed drill bit concentric along the rotation axis, and causes the bit to wobble. I'm looking either to fix the chuck or replace it outright. Chuck is a keyed version. After-market solutions are fine! Thanks. Steve in Redondo Beach, CA

1/2 hammer drill and the chuck is broke what do I do to get. New drill or fix

Assuming that the drill is still operating, I suggest that you get a replacement chuck, To remove the old chuck, insert the chuck key in the cogs on the left hand side as you hold the drill facing outwards, then using a hammer tap the chuck key firmly so that the chuck will revolve anti clockwise. Replacing the chuck us the reverse of the above procedure.

How do you work the keyless chuck on the 6.5 amp 3/8" rear handle pro drill?

Most drills with the keyless chuck work this way. Put the drill into reverse. Grasp the chuck with your left hand, and then pull the switch slowly. This should release the chuck. If your drill has no reverse, then grasp the chuck again with your left hand and hold the drill with your right hand. Turn the chuck with your left hand quickly, this should release the drill as well.

How to remove the chuck of Black & Decker Drill BD154R?

You need to open the chuck and remove the bolt from the bottom of it[usually a #2 phillips].The next step is to insert a 5/16 allen wrench into the chuck and tighten the chuck.Hold the drill with the chuck facing away from you then strike the allen wrench with a hammer on the right side[so it goes down] and now you will be able to remove it by hand, good luck.
