Gordon derails My Gordon train regularly derails. This problem didn't occur when new - it is only a recent problem. Everything seems to be in order on the train.

alignment tracks are the part of a rotating bridge that is where the tracks meet back together , this requires an alignment rail or train might derail , as this joint needs to remain movable so there is a gap there , typically it looks like a third rail spaced just inside the outer rail , this grabs and guides the wheel "toe" and centers the wheel onto outer rail , this feature requires frequent maintence as it does wear , as was evidenced few years ago by a bulk train derail in Louisiana as this was exactly what failed after crossing was hit by barge and train derailed

Any slipping didn't just start recently,you just didn't
recognize it

No fix but to rebuild the trans or install a reman,
when any slipping occurs

Sounds like the "variable resistor" that allows for a variable speed is either defective, or has become corroded on it's switch contacts. You might get lucky with some electrical contact cleaner spray and spraying it in or around the variable speed switch. Otherwise, I'd just invest in a new transformer.

There is a design flaw with the spring loaded pivot. If the wheels canter even the slightest, like on a turn, the mechanism slide locks up. I solved this problem with a medium white lubricant used for fishing reels called lubriplate. Make sure you lube both sides of the slide. Other medium consistency lubes should work just as well.

If it used to work and the cables are new then the cabels streached as normal you need derailer adjustments. If you have had it a while, and recently fell then you bent your derailer hanger take it to a bike shop to be straitened by a pro.. If it is a new bike and never worked at all then you need some derailer adjustments. You can adjust your derailer your self IF you know what you are doing. Otherwise go to a bike shop and have them do it. .

first disconect cable from derailer and determin if its the derailer or the cable. if its the cable take it off coil it up put it in a can with wd40 or other penatrating oil . if its the derailer take the chain off and work it free by hand keep putting oil on it while you work it back and forth

I would reboot into safe mode, then run your anti-virus/anti-spyware software again, then try rebooting in regular mode and see if that fixes the issue. It sounds like it could be a hardware issue, though... possibly a loose connection or faulty screen, if the virus/spyware search doesn't pan out.

The first step I would try in troubleshooting is to download the most recent drivers for this device from the Logitech Website (I'm including the link below, you'll just need to select the appropriate Operating System). There appears to be two options - the Smart Installer and the Full Installer.The Full Installer appears to be considerably larger - but may provide the best results.

Well you should probably check the radius of your curves. The Hogwarts Express has a minimum curve of O36 and on a tighter radius curve it will derail. I have found that the Hogwarts train runs better on fasttrack than standard O. You should also make sure the track is flat because if it isn't completely flat it derails. The train isn't designed well so it derails but if you run it slow you shouldn't have a lot of problems.
