That's because the WP800 isn't an answering machine. Please refer to the documentation for whatever answering machine or voicemail system you have on your phone line.

Once you call your voicemail service, you'll be taken thru step by step instructions to set up your voicemail.
To call your voicemail service

1. From the Home screen, tap Phone.
2. Touch and hold down 1.

If this does not work, you need to set up your voicemail number. Your subscription includes an answering service, callers can leave a voicemail message when you cannot answer a call. Usually, the voicemail number is saved on the SIM card. If not, contact your service provider to get your voicemail number. You can then enter the number manually.
To enter your voicemail number

1. From the Home screen, tap .
2. Find and tap Settings > Call settings > Voicemail settings.
3. Enter your voicemail number.
4. Tap OK.

It sounds like what you are looking for is to rerecord the AutoAttendant. This is a VoiceMail function, which is a separate card or box connected to the PBX cabinet. Check the manual for your voicemail on how to login as admin, or call the local Vodavi tech for a service call.

You are trying to access the admin mailbox for a newer voicemail than your system supports.
After dialing intercom777, try 99# and 1234#.

That will get you into the voicemail, and it will tell you the release (Partner mail VS rel 4, 5, etc...)

this use to be an old virus that was going around it affeced tx msg as well by bombarding your phone with continuess msg contact your service provider and they can reset your voice mail for you they wont charge for this hope this is somr help if not you will have to change service provider but you can keep your same no but they should be able to sort this out over the phone so try calling them first
