The status has been cleared and I think the ram has too
With paper loaded properly, turn off/unplug register, turn MA or Service key to "Blind" position (approx. 5 o'clock), turn on/plug in register. "Status-C" will print on the receipt. Some of these TEC's won't reset after changing paper, and this procedure becomes necessary after each installation of a new roll of paper.
We had a similar problem with our TEC MA-1450. I cleaned out the paper chamber area and inserted a new till roll in the left hand side "RF" (as you look at the till) and the "JF" till roll chamber was empty as we do not use it. The till display kept flashing and only the RF & JF buttons worked. Everything else was not working. It turned out that you have to have something in each of the till roll compartments for the till to function correctly. We put back the till roll inner plastic tube(the tube that the paper is wound onto) back into the JF compartment and all works fine again. There are 2 sensors in the bottom of the till roll compartments and if there is not sufficient pressure to push the thin metal levers down it will not make contact and will stop the till from operating.
Hope this helps?
Darren

Hi.
How do you know the clerk code is 1001. Is that what you programmed?

Hi,
are you using a usb keyboard? A lot of systems require a ps/2 (purple round connector) keyboard to access the bios settings and anything on the startup screen unless you have set usb on boot in the bios settings. I would try connecting a ps/2 keyboard and see if it helps.

I had the same problem with my MA-1700, it has a flat keyboard and I pushed "l" letter, it worked and stopped blinking.
