Stainless steel band won't snap into my watch

I've tried 2 different stainless steel bands for my small round women's watch and the pins won't snap into place. I don't have any problems with my leather and silk bands. Is it my watch or the stainless bands?

Took the watch band back to Neiman Marcus and they even said that the band was defective. My question is 2 different Philip Stein stainless steel bands don't fit? Again, is it my watch or they have not made the band correctly to work with their watch? Maybe they need to improve its design.

Stainless steel bracelet ends (so called wings) must be curved flush to the watch case.
Another way is to use curved spring lugs (pins).

Maybe your watch have very unusual shape?

It's very strange that two bracelets can not fit.

There is no problem with your watch as they were produced in great numbers and hundereds of people still wearig them.

I'd advice to take your watch to the jewellers shop and only then purchase the bracelet (after the staff checked that the bracelet is fitting properly).

And one more: if you were told that the both bracelets are defective, why don't you take them back and ask for refund?

Decent retailers must not sell defective items and if they do, then they are taking full responsibility for that and have to replace or give the refund and apologise.

Wenger Watch. I am looking for the right attachment that connects the wrist band.

Do you have a model number? Most watches use a spring loaded pin that slots through the strap at the watch end. The two pairs of 'legs' at each end of the watch have dimples on the inside flat surfaces that the spring pushes the ends of the pin into. You mount one end into a dimple then push against the spring until it's short enough to drop into the opposite dimple. A real pain in the tailbone to do as the bits are so small but you can do it yourself.

I have a swiss legend keramica and i cant ajust the bracelet

Most bracelet adjustments require a special tool that is only found in a jewelry store, or your watch can be shortened by the manufacturer. Many watches have pins that push out if you look on the back of the band there should be arrows the pins push in that direction if you have something small enough to fit it the hole, be very careful to put the pin back in the same way. Occasionally some watch bands are not pins they are screws and it can be very difficult to tell the difference between the two. If the watch band has a screw it requires a very small screwdriver and you must be careful NOT to strip the screwhead! You can also shorten some watches by just moving the pin in the band buckle if you have a small tool you should be able to do this yourself, BUT wear glasses because pins will spring out, keep pointed away from your face. Hope this helps!

The strap is buckled at one of the hinges on the stainless steel bangle this has happened before and the jeweller fixed it within minutes. does anybody know the technique of how to fix it? thanks mandy

mcdevito75 here, Hi Mandy, a special Spring bar remover / installer tool is needed then the spring bar itself, the spring bar holds the band onto the watch, best bet, return to the jeweler for repair.

I have a geneva watch with a large stainless steel band and can't seem to get the pins to release can u help

Are you sure they are cotter pins? Sometimes they can be mistaken for screws and vice/versa. If they are cotter pins then you need to have a small "punch" tool and a hammer to tap it out. Be careful though because if its a different kind of pressure pin there can be tiny sleeves that put the pressure onto the band to hold it in place! Might want to take it to a reputable watch repair shop to save you the time and possible frustration of attempting an adjustment yourself!

My invicta stainless steel band has two bent pins and I was told to send back to invicta repair. Is the repair of watch band more expensive than a new watch band and who can put on new band.

Most watch pins go for an average of 5 to 10 dollars per pin. If the band is in good condition there is no need to replace it. Most invicta metal bands can retail from 35 dollars and up. We are located in the Holyoke Mall in Holyoke MA

Purchased fossil ladies watch am4183 at Macy's, stainless steel band is too big, is this band adjustable, if so how.

Check the sides of watch band and you will see the pin ends. They are holding all links together. If there are arrows inside the watch band, they are pointing the way the pins must come out.
To shorten the band you have to:
Extract the pins.
Take link(s) off.
Join the rest of band together and drive pins back.

Adjusting the band on a boluva 96T63

Alllways try screwdriver first. If the pin doesn'y come out when you unscrewing it, that means you have pins instead. Use small steel pin and hammer to drive the pins out. Make sure that the split end comes out of the hole first.
