Paper jam problem Samsung CLX-2160

Hello,
I have seen your comment that you fixed a paper jam by aligning some stuff of scanner and printer module. Could you please be more specific?
I have maybe the same problem...
Paper is stucked just after it is taken into the printer. It is possible to remove it. If I slightly push the paper (it requires precise timing and pushing power) the printer prints. So there had to be some slight blockade there...
Till now, it was a perfect printer!!

SOURCE: Samsung CLX 2160 "paperjam2" problem

Hi ...

IN CLX 2160, paper jams usually occur in three areas of a printer. The following error messages indicate the area in which the jam has occurred:

  • Jam 0 indicates the paper failed to pass through the first sensor.
  • Jam 1 indicates the paper failed to pass through the second sensor and has jammed around the toner cartridge.
  • Jam 2 indicates the paper failed to pass through the second sensor and has jammed near the fuser.
Your error shows paper jam2 but i am giving you directions to fix the paper jams indicated by each error message so that you can handly any kind of paper jam issue with your printer.
Paper Jam 0 When your printer displays Jam 0, paper has failed to pass through the first sensor.
To remove the jammed paper, follow these steps:
  1. Power your printer off.
  2. Open the cover of your printer.
  3. Gently pull the paper toward you to remove it from the printer. Note: If you do not remove the paper slowly, you can damage the printer and the printer will require service.
  1. After removing the paper, make sure there is no additional paper in the paper path.
  2. Close the printer cover, and then power on your printer. jam%200.jpg
If your printer still displays Jam 0 after you turn on the printer, unplug the printer, and then repeat the steps above. Make sure all paper has been removed and the printer's rollers are in their correct positions. Before turning your printer back on, make sure all the cover doors are fully closed.
Paper Jam 1 When your printer displays Jam 1, the paper has failed to pass through the second sensor and has jammed around the toner cartridge.
  2. Close the printer cover, and then power on your printer. jam%201.jpg
If your printer still displays Jam 1 after you turn on the printer, unplug the printer, and then repeat the steps above. Make sure all paper has been removed and the printer's rollers are in their correct positions. Before turning your printer back on, make sure all the cover doors are fully closed.
Paper Jam 2 When your printer displays Jam 2, the paper has failed to pass through the second sensor and has jammed at the fuser.
  2. Close the printer cover, and then power on your printer. jam%202.jpg
If your printer still displays Jam 2 after you turn on the printer, unplug the printer, and then repeat the steps above. Make sure all paper has been removed and the printer's rollers are in their correct positions. Before turning your printer back on, make sure all the cover doors are fully closed.

SOURCE: Samsung clx-2160 says waste tank is full. What

If you open the front of the printer then you will find a waste tank in the left side - its gray. Take it out and empty it, and put the tank back in place.
This works for Samsung CLX-2160

SOURCE: I have a samsung CLX 3175 FW printer. Paper jams

The limit switches are just flags that block or unblock photo sensors. Try blowing the printer out with some canned air, paper dust on these sensors is a common cause of these problems.

Testimonial: "Thanks very much, I'll try that - I'd like to think it was as simple as that! Kind regards Ray"

Fix paper jam 2 on a Samsung CLX-3170 printer

paper jam 2 is a jam in the fuser/exit area.

did the paper jam come out in one piece? if not reassemble the torn paper to see how much is still inside.

sometimes there will be a small fingernail size piece of paper holding open the fuser/exit sensor flag.

sometimes the sensor flag itself is dislodged and needs reassembly.
attached is video in how to dissassemble the printer if required

Non-working printer; no paper pickup

The solution shown for the Samsung CLX-3160FN All-In-One works also for the Samsung CLX-2160N.
The associated picture and methodology of "pre-stretching" the solenoid spring is virtually identical for both printers.
Worked for me on the CLX-2160N

CLX 2160 - paperjam

There is probably a jam in the paper feed area. Pull the paper tray out and stick your hand in to find and remove any paper stuck there. Then reinstall the paper tray and open and close the front door of the printer. The jam should be cleared.

If it is still showing paper jam, pull the tray out again and look to make sure you didn't miss any paper, then check the other areas of the printer (starting with the exit area) for paper.
