Just installed a new battery nd the display screen reads:
S/C INVALID!
TxPwr: _ Ch:05
I tested the new battery and it it gives out 3.8 - 3.9 VDC. None of the keys on the phone respond except the # key which will change the channel. Any suggestions?

It means the security code is invalid. The phone & base are not talking to each other. do you have the manual for the phone.... check that the number you have i believe it was 20 is the same as the base. generally to reset the security code you just place the phone into the charger.... the base not the spare charger for a couple seconds... you will see the light on the base flicker. it should work then..... this can't be accomplished by using the spare charger if in fact there is a spare.
