Magnavox tp3273c102 TV will turn on, but no picture.

I'm not sure why my post ended up in the 27MS343S 27" TV catagory, mine Magnavox TP3273C102, but no, no sound, although I haven't plugged it into the cable. I need to know if it's going to be more expensive to fix rather than buy a new one, I checked on tubes and I could buy 2 new TV's for the same price.

You have not specified the condition of audio with your TV. If audio [sound] is present, and no picture is the fault, the horizontal output section circuit should be trouble shooed. In most cased, this type of fault can occur if the LOT {line Output Transformer} has damaged. It will be best to contact any experienced service technician to confirm the fault. It will look like this.

It's a 32 inch and no there is no sound either, but I haven't had it plugged into the cable or anything.

Magnavox 42 inch flat panel cannot get a picture

TV may need software upgrade. Go to menu, find instalation, find software upgrade, find. If version is bellow FL2D-r23 (#23) TV needs upgrade.
Get upgrade on the internet onto a USB flash drive. The file may be a ZIP file, if so, unzip to a folder in PC then put the file to the USB drive.
Turn TV on, plug in the USB drive, wait til the upgrade is finished. Unplug USB drive, turn TV off w/remote.
The TV will then turn on by its self and the upgrade is complete.
