HTC Wildfire FM Radio

I plugged the headset in and selected the FM Radio app, a message pops up saying 'starting', the green progress bar gets almost to the end and then stops, it goes away and the dash board is there but it is not responsive - none of the controls or the menu button work. I can get back to the home screen by touching the home arrow but the app is still running and the only way to end it is to force quit through the settings/manage apps screen. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: my htc touch viva is booting but not loading the os

Actually I only hard reset the device by pressing the reset button at the back along with the action button and the down on the volume button, at the same time. The problem was not immediately solved then, but I left the device on overnight and to my surprise it was fully functional again.

Just brought a HTC wildfire and I cant find bluetooth to turn it on .

Bell;
Important:
  • For you to listen to music with your headset or car kit, the headset or car kit must support the A2DP Bluetooth profile.
  • Before you connect your headset, you need to make it discoverable so HTC Wildfire S can find it. You can find out how to do this by referring to your headset manual.
  1. From the Home screen, press howtoimage.aspx?id=106492, and then tap Settings > Wireless & networks.
  2. Tap Bluetooth settings.
  3. If the Bluetooth check box is not selected, select it to turn Bluetooth on.
  4. Make sure that the headset is discoverable.
  5. Tap Scan for devices. HTC Wildfire S will start to scan for Bluetooth devices within range.
  6. When you see the name of your headset displayed in the Bluetooth devices section, tap the name. HTC Wildfire S then automatically tries to pair with the headset.
  7. If automatic pairing fails, enter the passcode supplied with your headset.
The pairing and connection status is displayed below the hands-free headset or car kit name in the Bluetooth devices section. When the Bluetooth headset or car kit is connected to HTC Wildfire S, the Bluetooth connected icon howtoimage.aspx?id=106796 is displayed in the status bar. Depending on the type of headset or car kit you have connected, you can then start using the headset or car kit to listen to music and/or make and receive phone calls.

How to twitter

Using the set up manager, you can set up all your social networks before you start using the Wildfire.

The HTC Wildfire allows you to set up Facebook, Flickr and Twitter accounts for use with HTC's Friend Stream and HTC Peep social networking services.

You can either set these up using the setup manager when you first turn your Wildfire on, or do it later

Setting up social networks with the set up manager
The set up manager will appear when you turn your Wildfire on the first time, or after you've carried out a factory reset of the device.

When the social networking setup screen appears, simply select the social networks you use and enter your username and passwords.

Each time you successfully set one up, you'll return to the set up screen to add more accounts.

When you've finished, tap on next.

Setting up additional social networks
If you want to add more social networking accounts, or didn't use the set up manager to add accounts, you can do this later through the Accounts & sync sub menu in Settings.

To set up a new account, select Add account.

Here, you can choose which you want to set up for use on your Wildfire.

To use the Facebook widget on your Wildfire, opt for the Facebook for HTC Sense option.

Enter your username and password for the account. If your log in email address is set up on your Wildfire, it should appear as you start typing to save you typing it in again.

Beware though, we found that we had to manually change the address from the default @googlemail.com to @gmail.com before it successfully signed us in.

When setting up your Flickr account, you will be required to confirm you're downloading the HTC Flickr downloader from a trusted source.

Opt for the second option as the first is sometimes regarded as untrustworthy and access to Flickr may not be granted.

When you've set up your accounts, you're ready to start using Friend Stream.

How do i connect to the wifi

If you need to connect your HTC Wildfire to a Wi-Fi network then check out this simple, step-by-step user guide to getting connected wirelessly

If you're using your HTC Wildfire for the first time, you can easily select the Wi-Fi network you'd like to join using the setup manager.

When you opt in for either Mobile Network or Wi-Fi, or just Wi-Fi, the Wildfire will by default try to connect to a Wi-Fi network near you.

Select the network you wish to connect to, enter the password if required and you're set up.

If you want to change the settings, or set it up for the first time, you can do this through the Settings menu.

Note: If you're attempting to access a network-based page or app, you may be required to set up a new Wi-Fi connection. When prompted, select the option to set up a new connection.

  1. Access the Wi-Fi settings menu by navigating to the Wireless & networksmenu
  2. Select Wi-Fi settings
  3. Choose a listed network, or add a hidden network by selecting Add Wi-Fi network
  4. If you choose one of the listed networks and it's secured, enter the password, press Connect and you'll be connected to that network
  5. If you wish to access a hidden network, select Add Wi-Fi network and enter the SSID
  6. If a password is required, you'll be prompted to enter this before connecting

If Wi-Fi is turned off, you can now turn this on by ticking the box in the Wireless & networks menu.

I have a htc wildfire but I can not do mms it says unable to send message generic network failure. I am on Tesco network and they have given me the APN for internet and a sprate one for MMS but the green...

Go HERE type in your details and they will send you a text with the correct settings.

If that doesn't work try...
Go to your APN settings...
"Settings"
"Wireless & Networks"
"Mobile Networks"
"Access Point Names" or APN's

Tap the MMS setting and scroll to the bottom "APN Type"
Tap it and add this to the mms already there.
default,supl

So you APN Type should say ... mms, default, supl

Save and exit.

Now in your APN's list you have a radio button to select MMS. Select it and reboot your phone.

Try sending an mms to someone you know has there phone switched on. As if it isn't you get a "Failed to Send" or "Queued For Sending" message.

Use a small file to test it as large files may not be allowed on your or their network.

I hope this works.

I have bsnl 3g sim, how to configure gprs in htc wildfire a3333

BSNL 3G Configuration for HTC Wildfire (A3333) - Postpaid Connection:

1. Speak to BSNL customer Service center and get the confirmation whether 3G service is activated.

2. Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names -> New APN ->

Name: bsnlnet

APN: bsnlnet

don't change anything else and just save the settings.

3. Under 'Network Mode' the option selected should be 'GSM/WCDMA auto'

4. Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Select 'Mobile Network' to connect to internet and look for see letter 'H' at the top near the coverage bars.

5. Lauch the browser and check 'Google.com'

Its working fine for me after a long struggle with BSNL customer care, Finally got fixed by applying the above fix.
