Hi,

I found a homepage with a load of Backdoor passwords, - one of them will bypass you forgotten BIOS password. If you dont know your type, you´ll have to try them all out, or untill you hit the right one:

I would NOT attempt to take the laptop apart, in order to find that battery, - I have tried that when I helped someone else, and I (system administrator) had to give in.

On the other hand, if you know what you are doing, it’s the easiest way.

Hello,
While hacking the password on the CMOS /BIOS is extremely hard, the best way to fix this issue is to find the CMOS battery which is about the size of a quarter and located under a removable cover. Remove the battery and get into the cmos /bios and set the cmos settings to a bootable state and just try to boot up. Once you are able to bootup remember to re-install the battery while it is booted (It will not harm the pc /laptop in any way to re-install it while powered on!). If you forget to re-install it the worse thing to happen is you will have to re-setup the cmos settings again!

Good Luck!

Lenovo sl 400 disk read error

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

Xp200 power on password

Power On password The Power on Password and hard drive password is used to protect the laptop/computer and hard disk from unauthorized access.
The hard drive password is setup in the BIOS you need the hard disk password to remove the password. I'm afraid you may have purchased a stolen laptop/computer. It is impossible to remove a hard drive's password there are no backdoor passwords because the password is stored in the hard drive's firmware. If the laptop/computer has a Power on Password then this laptop cannot boot up.
If the hard drive is password protected then remove the existing drive, replace it with a new hard drive may fix the laptop/computer r BUT it may also set a password on the new hard disk and lock it with the same password. If it does not password protect the new hard drive, then install Windows plus laptop/computer's device drivers and programs to get a working laptop/computer.

Loveno S10-2 - No bootable device found

Make sure your hard drive has higher priority in the boot options in BIOS. If it still doesn't boot then you will need to replace your hard drive. If it shows no hard drive in BIOS then the drive is most certainly bad and needs to be replaced.

Tried to boot from USD, CD/DVD Drive but failed. Still showing No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key

To boot up from the DVD drive go into the BIOS setting - boot device order and move the DVD as the first boot device and the hard disk as the 2nd boot device.
If you want to boot up with the USB then move the USB as the first device. If the USB is not listed as a boot device then it is not possible to boot up with an USB device.

When i power on the laptop ask HDD PASSWORD SIR PLZ HOW CAN I REMOVE SIR

How to remove and unlock hard drive password? Is there any software to recover hard drive disk password? Where to download hard drive password cracker? Is it possible to reset the hard drive password?
According to Lenovo and many other manufacturers' website, if you forget your hard drive or hard disk password, there is no possible way to reset your password or recover data in the hard disk drive. Basically the hard drive is unusable. Scary right? However, this is often not true.
Most people are not aware that most hard disk drives have the ability to set a hardware password, just like the Bios password for motherboards, thus making the drive completely inaccessible unless a correct password is provided during the BIOS POST test. Usually these features can only be found in laptops, this is when you set a password on your notebook, the hard drive together with the motherboard becomes locked.
Most experts would say if you forget the original HDD or Bios password, there is no way of restoring it by generic system tools. Unlike the Bios password where there is a master key or with the removal of the bios battery, the password is erased from the flash memory thus the settings is restored to factory settings without the password, however, this does not applies to hard disk.

I can't boot up. it display error 2100: Hard disk drive initialzation error.

This issue is often caused by either an incorrect setting in BIOS or a bad boot device, such as a bad hard disk drive.

Try this:

Verify that your hard disk drive is setup and detected properly in BIOS. You're computer should list a hard disk drive installed either under the main page or the drives page in BIOS. If BIOS indicates the drive is not installed or not detected skip to Hard Disk drive is bad or not connected properly.
Verify the boot options are properly set in BIOS, almost all BIOS setups should contain options specifying how your computer boots. For example, most computers should have their boot options setup similar to the below example.

- Floppy drive
- CD drive
- Hard drive

Rest your BIOS to default values. Many BIOS will enable users to reset the values to the default settings. If you've tried the above options without success try resetting the BIOS.

Boot from either your emergency repair disk, your bootable Windows CD, or your bootable restore CD.
Once boot attempt to repair Windows. If you're able to repair Windows remove the disks and reboot the computer.

If the above fails:

Verify the connections are properly connected to the computer if the hard drive was recently installed or the computer was moved.

If all connections are setup properly and all the above recommendations have been attempted, it is likely that the hard disk drive is bad and it will need to be replaced.

Let us know how it works out.
