Printer Hater your solution is the worst solution I've read in my entire life of browsing the internet. It's 2013 and INTEL are still making drivers for XP. God you are stupid. Anyway here's the driver download page from INTEL! INTEL! INTEL!

Dear sir,
welcome to Fixya Customer support.
According to your post it seems to be mother board LAN port is dead.you can check it with self pinging of IP adress. If ping is possible your LAN port is working fine, may be problem with software or LAN configuration.
If ping failed, network port is dead, install another network card in pci or expansion slots.disable the old lan and use your new LAN port.I think it solves your problem. If you have faced any problem post comment with more information. I will try to assist you more accurately.
good luck
SOURCE: I just bought Intel ATOM
OF COURSE there are no Windows XP networking drivers for this Intel motherboard. WinXP was released in 2001; this motherboard wasn't even DESIGNED until XP had already been replaced by Windows Vista and Windows 7. Why would Intel ever bother to make drivers for an OLD operating system for NEW hardware?
You bought NEW hardware; you need a NEW operating system to make it work. If you want to use XP, you won't be able to do any networking with this system. If you want to be able to network this system, you'll need to buy a modern operating system for the modern hardware.
I know this isn't the answer you want to hear, but you also won't find Microsoft writing a NEW operating system to work with my OLD AMD 386DX-40 motherboard. Of course, you can always complain to Intel and Microsoft, but that won't change the reality. You have NEW hardware, which is great, but NO ONE is going to design and write NEW drivers for an OLD operating system to work with your new system.
