Can you find the motor and belt? If so check to see if the belt is broken or worn. Don't touch it or remove it... if you do you could end up throwing your machine out of time. (did that once myself) If you see the belt is broken. Take it in to have it cleaned, serviced and the belt replaced.

I have a baby lock serger that starts then slows and stops. The motorstarts humming

Sounds like the machine may be seizing. AVOID trying to run the machine while the motor is straining--it could damage the motor.

Serger wont budge..hums when step on foot pedal

Motor is locked down. Do Not Energize! take to factory certified service repair person. You will burn up motor or even worse "start a fire" if you try to run it. something is binding motor, this could be many different things.

I have a Babylock Eclipse serger..while sewing with it the machine jammed up and I cant get it to sew. It sounds like its stuck or motor is jammed..I just hear a small hum when I press the pedal.

A serger does not have a bobbin, they use loopers instead to form a chain stitch. I'm very familiar with the baby lock and they are a simple machine. Email me and I will try to guide you to the solution, chances are it not an adjustment problem but a dry feed cam. my email is [email protected]

My serger won't cut

Sounds like your blades are either dull, misaligned, disengaged or broken. Examine your serger book for how to re-engage the blades. If they are engaged, make sure they are aligned correctly. If that still doesn't help check for damage.

Brother 1034d handwheel stuck

the best thing to do is take the machine in to have it checked.
sergers are nice & very useful, I have a babylock serger with the jet-air
looper threading systerm, and I use it alot when making clothes.
I even used my serger to serge the ends of fabric that I haven't used yet
so the ends won't fray.

Serger won't chain off a stitch. Stitches won't chain and hold to fabric. Added new needle, rethreaded whole machine. Stitches won't connect to fabric or make a chain.

is it possible that the needles are in backwards?
it's very possible that the machine is out of time & would have to be taken to a sewing machine repair shop to be retimed

My serger won't start. Motor is running but won't turn. Also wheel wont turn

Hi, On most of these newer machines they have a clutch that you engage to fill the bobins.
Please make sure that the clutch is disengaged for normal use. If this is all OK see that belt
is attached on motor.

Need instructions for threading Juki MO 3314

Open the font of the serger and the instructions will be printed on the serger or on the door.

Raise the presser foot and set the tensions to zero when threading.

Turn the hand wheel so the upper looper (curved one) is at it's highest point and thread it first, and then the lower looper.

With some sergers you must thread in a certain sequence. This should be indicated in the instructions on the serger.

Set the tensions back to normal ( 4 - 6), lower the presser foot and run a length of stitching to see if the threads are knitted together as they should before you start serging your project.
