I have an LG Chocolate from Telus, and the volume for the key tone sound is working, but not for the ringtones. Even if I go directly into where the ringtones are stored and try to play them, it doesn't work. I also don't have any sound for videos I recorded and saved on my phone. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Bluetooth is off and is not randomly switching on as some other users have noted.

it's because the text alerts and alarms etc. all require a different file format than what the presets are...notice the preset tones already on the phone are ".mmf?" well most downloaded/bluetoothed/purchased ringtones are mp3s, not mmfs. i have the same phone..and i am fed up with this stupid problem. i don't know how to convert the file type..sooo i guess we're stuck at stupid.

Go to tools, phone settings, voice commands, call alert then do not select name repeat, the other 2 selections have a ring.

The only way to add a wav of your own is by going into Start > Programs > File Explorer > click on 'my device' then the 'windows' folder cut and paste your wav file in this folder directly. This works as I've just had the same problem.
