Pelican wired controller for ps3

Are you sure it's a PL-2073? or is it maybe a PL-2047? If it is, here the manual for the PL-2047.

Hardware problem. Usually the motherboard, sometimes it's the hard drive. You can use a few ideas from this guide:

but more than likely you'll have to send the unit into Sony for repair. You can reach them @ 1-800-345-SONY..

could be that the adapter is a 3rd party adapter and that would be it doesn't pass the qualtiy that Sony requires before it puts its stamp of approval on the item which means your taking a chance on the item working.

See if you can find an item that is approved by sony and then try that.

You are having a controller board problem I would suggest getting it repaired or replaced or you can take it apart and make sure everything is in working order such as no burnt buttons or melted solder.
