Of course not. That's what the USER manual is for It's filled with step by step instructions for programming your phone. Some of the programs are set up at installation, some are user programs.

SOURCE: forwarding an extension with the KX-T7630

The most apparent problem I encounter with customers when they are trying to program any speed numbers or forwarding into a Panasonic system is that they forget that they MUST enter a "9" in front of the dialing string. Also you should designate the button that you are going to use as a Forward button. Also you MUST have PERMISSION in your particular CLASS OF SERVICE for forwarding to an outside line. This MUST be programmed by your installeror it will never work.

SOURCE: programming extensions

By default a TDA user has access to the first 9 programs in the Basic Programming (000-009). It lets you set things like date and time, speed calls, extension name, number and PIN code, and operator extensions.

Access to the programming is from an allowed phone by PROG **1234. You may have to consult your installer/dealer to find out which phone does that, but generally it's the operator.

Can't program, won't turn lites off

"If you need more programming assistance, request form #158ET9311 " from Intermatic.
http://www.intermatic.com/customer%20service.aspx
Or call Intermatic: 815-675-7000

Manual shows example programming on page 17-18:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Intermatic-et70415cr.pdf
The instruction manual for this timer does not have step-by-step programming.
There is example programming on page 17-18, but it shows one example.
The timer manual doesn't have step-by-step because the timer prompts the user as the user is programming timer.
As a result, it is difficult to know what step was missed.
It is equally difficult for expert to know what went wrong.
In addition, the timer offers choice of 24 hour or 1-week or 365 day programming.
Also the timer offers choice between 'astro' dawn-dusk' or 'fixed' programming, 'pulse' bell-ringing programming, and 'interval' programming.
And then there are additional programs available for individual days throughout the year if you choose 365 day operation.
Add on top of that, the timer has 4-channel operation where each of the 4 different relay circuits are programmed separately for each of the options mentioned above.
For these reasons, I recommend contacting Intermatic about this timer.

Trying to change my name displayed on the LCD?

It's a trick. When we install Panasonic TDx systems, you have to give the phone users access to programming. If your installer gave you access, you can press PROG and dial **1234 and the system will let you into programming. By default, extension can usually do it, in our case, we allow it on all phones.

If you find the phone that can dial PROG ** (it won't beep at you when you start the sequence), program 004 is extension names. Dial it, press ENTER twice (it moves from softkey 3 to 4) and you'll be looking at extension 101 and a name if programmed. The NEXT key scrolls through the extensions and the keypad pressed X times to get to the letter and the right arrow key to step forward if you need to press the same number key steps you forward. The round ENTER key saves the new name, then pick up the handset and drop it back down to exit programming.

I want all incoming calls to come through my extension only.

What it sounds like you want to do is restrict the automatic system answering to certain extensions. This is done via feature code 204.

To identify the lines on which outside calls should be answered by the system:
  1. Press feature +(00)+(system program)+(system program)+#204
  2. Enter the two-digit system line number of the desired line.
  3. To assign or unassign the line, press (Next Data) until the appropriate value appears.
    1 = Assigned
2 = Not Assigned (the factory setting)
  4. To identify another line, press (next item)or (prev. item) until the line number appears on the display. Then repeat Step 3.
  5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for all the lines that you want to identify.
  6. Select another procedure, or exit programming mode.

Message Lamp does not light

This will be a two step answer. Walk to any other extension and dial *701 plus the extension that doesn't work. If it lights the message waiting lamp (of course it will), then please look for your voice mail system cabinet. It may be black, with a dark blue cover the same as the TDA phone system. Part numbers would be TVA-50 or TVA-100.

If all of the above is true, you need to do some notification programming in the voice mail system. Do you have the programming software if it's a TVA?
