Remove the band and the back of the watch, rotate the back 180 degrees and replace. The alarm should sound again.
I found the contact from the module to the back case was short, and not making contact; a little adjustment and now all is well ;-)
Re: Timex Ironman Triathlon 100 Lap Watch No Sound After Battery Replacement
Here's the fix. With the battery in place and the watch functioning (But the screw-on back of the watch off. Duh?) there is an instruction on the flat cap that holds the battery in place: "Press here to reset." (I just fixed mine and I'll be darned if I'm going to mess with it in case I didn't remember the instructions ver batim! ;) What you, me and everyone else has been missing is exactly where the reset "button" is located.
Don't be suckered by simply pushing the red cap. It may click like mine did, but it is not the reset button.
It's no button at all but a little flap of metal, just beside the clasp/latch of the metal cap that holds the battery in place.
Get out the magnifying glass, or the 4.0 readers, a flashlight, and a very tiny diameter (compass/pencil works) piece of metal wire. A large paper clip is too big. Maybe a large sewing needle. It's really itty ***** finiggally (Hope I'm not losing any of you with my technical language...)
Look closely and you will see a stand alone, tiny, tiny! piece of metal that if you push on it, will contact a... contact? on the watch circuit board.
Press the metal contact spring piece to make the contact and that should be it.
Make sure when you replace the screw down cap, that the cap has the circular piece of metal (that acts as the sound board to produce the beep-beep) oriented so that that the itty ***** spring that sticks up from the watch/brains/circuit board, touches it, or no beep-beep!
Hope it helps.

just received this watch(black version), no sound with any function; watch was purchased new.
Alarm works but won't beep, only flashes.
I replaced the battery and now the alarm only flashes and the "beep" does not sound. I turned the back cover of the watch 180 degrees, with no change in result.
