I put on a new Inlet valve assembly
Airless paint sprayers should not turn off while in prime mode. As long as the prime valve is open the motor can pump paint but the system will not build any pressure. Once the prime valve is closed the pump should pump paint into the hose until it gets to the pressure level required to turn the motor off. If the pump does not turn off with the prime valve closed, it could be that the spring in the valve is weak and won't hold the valve closed under pressure. If the hose is up to pressure and the motor just keeps trying to pump paint, you may have a bad pressure sensor or it is disconnected from the circuit board.
SOURCE: Wagner paint crew won't build pressure or shut off.
1. Does it pump paint in PRIME position. If yes, then the outlet valve assembly may be stuck or bad.
2. If it won't pump paint in the PRIME position, the inlet valve may be stuck, just poke your finger down the inlet hole (machine off) . It is spring loaded and should move about an 1/8".
3. The worst option is the pump piston if froze. To check: remove the plastic hopper assembly, comes off with about 4 screws from underneath. The whole thing just pulls off. Now you can see the inlet assembly with two O rings. Use the white plastic hex shaped tool comes with the spray, and stuck on the lower base of the unit. Unscrew the inlet assembly. If clean enough, you can see the end of the piston. It's about a 1/4" diameter. Turn the machine on for a moment and you shoud see the piston move back on forth. If it doesn't the piston is froze. Good Luck with that.
SOURCE: Need instruction manual for a ''Wagner 404 Plus'' airless spray gun
I cannot get the sprayer to prime or spray
SOURCE: how do you diagnose a Campbell Hausfeld Airless.
Try to fill it with water and spray. YOu may have paint buildup in the system, and will have to disassemble it to clean it
SOURCE: Bought anCampbell Hausfeld airless paint sprayer,
no fluid gets to nozzle or comes from nozzle.
sounds like your fluid line is pluged or the gun is pluged at or before the tip
