My creative Audigy Video editor will not capture video either from an analog source or dv source. I can see and hear the video from the camara in the software but the capture Start/record button in the capture software is greyed out. I was able to capture the video I needed going through my compyer and using firewire and capturing it with Sony vegas. Any solution as to why my Creative video editor is not able to capture?

SOURCE: drivers for windows xp

Hello parveez...

to find Creative Labs drivers, go to this page: http://support.creative.com/ and in the upper right hand corner, choose your region of the world... on the next page, choose your country and language. This is important as some models are only sold in certain countries, so be sure to select the country where you bought the cam.

once you are in the support page, click on the cams section and see if your cam appears on that page.... if not, and you need help to figure out what exactly to look for on the site (there is quite a lot) use the link to help you 'identify your cam' in the upper right corner above the photos of all the cams.

after that, use the link at the bottom to find your cam in the lists provided on the next page.... once you select something from the list, you have to click the 'next' button at the bottom.... that should take you to the page where you can download your driver, and possibly other software and a manual if you need those things too.

be sure you select the driver for your operating system, and keep in mind that some older cams don't work on newer systems, like windows vista.

let me know if you need more help on this :)

Capture working from camera but not from movie box VCR analoge input

Check the Image source if well shielded. Weak or broken shield in cable will affect the video-sound quality. Try different cable and analog video source. Once you ensure that nothing is wrong at input side. Uninstall-Reinstall the driver and the accompanied software also update driver and the software from Pinnacles support website.

I have a pinnacle moviebox 510-usb. The specification contains, you can streaming from analog secam source, but in importer section i can't see any video after switched secam mode, while the vcr play...

Be sure that your MovieBox capture device is selected under Studio's "Setup/Capture Source" selection (assuming you're capturing analog). If the MovieBox doesn't show up in that selection window, there could be a problem with the device.

Additionally, check in the Diskometer left-hand panel (this is found at the center of the bottom of the screen) and see that the correct input port value (either composite or s-video) is selected.

If you're capturing digital, then you'll have to use a Firewire connection to the MovieBox device.

Hope that's helpful.

Cannot transfer vhs to dvd. How can I do this on my Sony DVD recorder player

You need to have capture card in your PC, you can buy PCI TV Tuner, usually it has video input. Connect your VHS or any analog source to that input and a little exploration on its software. But video quality is not as good as digital to digital connection. Second, if you have digital video camera that is capable of analog A/V input option, connect it there and transfer your VHS or any analog recording to mini dv or digital 8 format(whatever you have) and transfer it then to your pc. Quite complicated but probably you already have the resources. Good luck

You need a TV tuner card to be able to read both audio-video signal, else how are you going to covert analog to digital. The VCR gives out analog output.

Here's what you will end up doing. ANALOG CAPTURE. I could help if we knew more about the HOST PC/MACINTOSH machine. It's only my opinion that to get a FIREWIRE ANALOG VIDEO DIGITIZER is not a great idea.

Can I connect my VHS-C or S-VHS-C camera to my computer?

Since VHSC camcorders feature only analog outputs: it is not possible to connect the camcorder directly to a PC (unless a computer video card is equipped with analog inputs). The only way to transfer images from the camcorder to a PC will be using an external device capable of analog/digital signal conversion. JVC has released a capture device model, GV-CB3U which has the capability of video capture of a single frame in either Bitmap or JPEG format. The GV-CB3 can be connected to any video source through a standard video or S-Video connector and download single image to a PC using serial port (RS232C communication port). The JLIP Video Capture software necessary to transfer images to the computer as well as connecting cables are supplied with this product. You can also use 3rd party hardware (Video Capturing device) to send information from your camera to a PC. Visit your local PC or Office store for more information on other video capturing devices.
