My Creative Sound blaster video editor works fine except one aspect. The video capture software can see the video hear the video but the capture start button/ record button is greyed out and won't let me capture. I talked to creative who was no help at all what so ever because they have discontinued this unit.
This problem happens no matter if I have analog or dv selected. Creative tells me its a hardware issue and that there is nothing I can do....
I was able to dump in and capture video going firewire directly into my computer and using Sony Vegas to do the job...
But I want my video editor to work.....Any solutions anyoneknow about?

to find Creative Labs drivers, go to this page: http://support.creative.com/
and in the upper right hand corner, choose your region of the world...
on the next page, choose your country and language. This is important
as some models are only sold in certain countries, so be sure to select
the country where you bought the cam.
once you are in the
support page, click on the cams section and see if your cam appears on
that page.... if not, and you need help to figure out what exactly to
look for on the site (there is quite a lot) use the link to help you
'identify your cam' in the upper right corner above the photos of all
the cams.
after that, use the link at the bottom to find your
cam in the lists provided on the next page.... once you select
something from the list, you have to click the 'next' button at the
bottom.... that should take you to the page where you can download your
driver, and possibly other software and a manual if you need those
things too.
be sure you select the driver for your operating
system, and keep in mind that some older cams don't work on newer
systems, like windows vista.
