SOURCE: I have an everstar mpk-10cr and it leaks water out

This cap must be in place in all coolers I have seen. Frequently there is a gasket that is identical to the type used on a common garden hose. It needs to be clean and free of cracks. They only cost pennies. I don't understand what you mean by "I plugged it up but water did not go into the normal receptacle."

I will assume you mean that this is a manually filled unit and not attached to a water source. If that is the case give me more details on what you mean.

Make sure the level arm is also making good contct with the water bucket when you insert it. You can awlas pull the level towards you to adjust for better contact.

Yes there is supposed to be a screw in plug. You can probably order one directly from Danby

Everstar Model MPK 10CR What does flashing P2 mean

Everstar Model MPK-10CR, What does flashing P2 mean?
I have a manual and it only talks about the error, P1, when the water container is for. Says nothing about P2. The unit will just completely shut off and then the red light is flashing and P2 appears in the window.

P2 means the bottom pan is full, you need to drain the bottom, small valve on the back bottom in the middle Posted on Jul 21, 2010

The filter that allows the water to get to the pump is clogged. Since the pump can't pump the water into the drain bucket, it fills the bottom pan up, the unit shuts down, and the P2 error code is then displayed. Posted on Jun 29, 2011

Where is the filter that is full that is not allowing the water to drain into the drain bucket, and is it something that can be cleaned? w_benjamin Jun 30, 2011
It should be near the pump that pumps the water up to the drain bucket. Each model is different, on my Everstar it was located under the housing for the drain bucket. The back and front of the unit needed to be removed, then the housing for the drain bucket needed to be removed. Not that hard, but a lot of screws. Take it out, then clean it with some dish washing detergent.

Everstar MPK-10CR compressor keeps running after power off, on remote. Display blanks. Only shuts off when O/L @ wall plug tripped.

call in an electrician as there is a problem in the circuit allowing power from a neutral line and bypassing the switch

Everstar mpk 10 cr 1 manual, have an error code of P-1

It means that the little drawer for the water on the side is full of water or that it is not closed completly. In the water drawer there is a switch that makes it turn off the AC if it is running ,then it will give you a P1 code.

Make sure the water drawer is empty of water then. put the drawer back in carefully and gently, the switch that is built into the drawer will make contacts and your problem should go away. you might have to unplug the unit from the wall for it to clear the problem after doing the above steps.

Also here is a link to their site, Midea the company that makes these MPK-10CR units. For the owners manuel http://www.supportuscenter.com/documents/MPK_Manual.pdf
